When have they added QoL that contradicts one of the games core advertised features (fashion- it’s on the website). Fashion is also a feature that contributes to the glorious amount of money XIV makes so why would they bother because a few trolls can’t handle a bikini.

Sorry for Op and those like him but every mmo I’ve played had some amount of more revealing clothing options.

I mean I could care less about why OP wants it. I just think it's fair that if players want a toggle for it, then I don't really see a reason against it. It's a personal preference and I think people that want it should have access to it.

So now you've shifted the goal post from it simply being in poor taste to invalidate and hide the work the dev team puts into the designing of the gears in the game to suggesting that it's unrealistic and that it won't happen.

This has been requested time and again and has been ignored by SE as there is no reason for it. The likelihood of it happening is slim to none as it invalidates the work the dev team put into the glamour system, making the items and invalidates the purchase of mogstation items. There will never be a glamour toggle. Cease.

I have not changed my stance nor shifted goalposts, you've added more "justifications" and I have offered rebuttals to those that still fall in line with my stance on the matter.

Also side note, I put a lot of work into my glams. It's a bit unfair that through the use of mods people can just hide them, but that's how it is, isn't it? Why not just allow everyone to have access to the same QoL in that case. I mean did you know there's 3rd party tools that let you hide entire characters as well? I suppose you'd be against that but I feel like it's fair for something like that to be added to the game as well.

You seem to have a tenuous grasp of what constitutes "quality of life" as not all mods or third party tools are quality of life, some are just cheating or outright invalidating core features of the game.

Fun fact, cosmetic mods have evolved to be character-based and toggleable in real-time. Even so, there are many third party tools that do things that I am sure the development team dislikes. Asking for them all to be implemented simply because they exist in an unofficial capacity is a ridiculous notion.

It is tantamount to—
"well some people are using zoom hacks and combat mods to show unetelegraphed AoEs, so SE should let us zoom out further and just always show us AoE markers because that's quality of life I don't have!"

This is the equivalent of the point you are attempting to make. Its not going to happen as it invalidates a core feature of the game.

Both the culture you seem to be against, and the so called disrespect towards the developers is already occurring, so why not allow everyone to have ability to do so if they want?

Is it really that hard to understand that no developer or creative artist in their right mind is going to invalidate their own work? Do you think they like mods? That they like that people alter the way gear and other things look? No. So then why would they offer the option to do so officially?

I am only against it in an official capacity, mind you. What others players do with their clients and how they break ToS is their choice and decision and I do not answer for them nor do they answer for me.

Regardless, I am done. I linked the previous thread, its 349 pages of this back and forth nonsense that has been going on for multiple years.
A new thread is not going to change anything in that regard and continuing further would be a fruitless use of my time going forward.

Because people do that IRL.
There are people IRL that dress like Prostitutes as a Style Choice, and not necessarily trying to bring the bedroom to Burger King, or the Movie Theater, Home Depo, etc.
Same applies to a Videogame. Someone dressing Sexy/wearing a sexy Glamour is not bringing in your Bedroom into a Videogame.

And Just like IRL...you dont want to see it, look away, dont look at it.
