Stop waiting for cutscenes in alliance raids. We never did this in Stormblood.

With event alliance raids i have seen 'enjoy the cutscene, and if you want to see all mechanics, just queue again' as an argument, and if im honest, i cant disagree. Its not like the mechanics are making you miss too much story wise. Just watch and enjoy, and if you want to face the full mechanics, just queue again. It doesnt matter if its started or not.

Still, most of the time people still wait. Nearly every single time i see that ready window pop up. And unless 1 party is missing a healer, they will often continue (missing 2 because the first 1 died will escalate quickly). Some waiting is recommended anyway as it ensures most players are ready to fight (some 3min cooldowns can recharge nicely here).

All anyone really has to say on Aether is "cs" or "cs in X" party and we wait. Even with the event going on right now. I run alliance every day and I've been running those raids periodically to double-dip event and WT and it's definitely a trend I've seen. I think it's because we get a lot of Dynamis folks. We always tended to wait unless it was CT, but now I even see us wait in CT if there are enough watching. I think especially with CT, the type who wouldn't want to wait are the ones that always dip at the beginning. There's always at least one or two missing when the barrier goes down.

I wait for cutscenes the first time I do content on every character that way I can autoskip from then on.

I feel as though that is hyperbolic. Anecdotal at best.

Personal experiences amounts to only so little, that is true. Though the posters advocating to not wait for Cutscene watchers? leads to enforcing " Optimalization " as the Gold standard that they themselves rarely can uphold as they lecture everyone to do so.

There's a good reason why so many post behind Alt characters and/or hide Logs when they post anything regarding speed or optimization of runs/raids/content/alliance-raids etc. They opened that can of worms, and when asked " Show it then " I know generally? most can't with their probably own piss-poor-performances while possibly ruining any first time experiences that come with it... It's a fruitless needless desire for " Optimization " to save but few measly seconds that could otherwise be achieved by just not sucking vs demanding people to pull ASAP.

I can't speak for others, but for me personally, it's because I've had someone from the forums track me down and find my discord to harass me.
