So todat I just got into the 1st one time grind for the shb relic where you have to collect memories from both the HW and SB alliance raids (or from fates from the Gyr Abania and Othard regions) on my 3rd alt, and no joke I queued up for Rabanstre and in less that 3 minutes it popped for me. The Void Ark queue took longer though around 20 minutes or so but I spent my time doing fates for the memories so my time wasnt wasted but yeah...maybe OP either gave up too easily or just in a bad server.

Both easily debunked by looking at the screenshot that im over an hour in queue and seeing the server thats visibly written everytime i post. Also queues are datacenter wide. I wonder how it feels defending a game that you barely even know anything about.

"Join date 2022" - Almost as if the Ex-WoW players are overcompensating. I bet you dont mind giving us the name of that supposed third alt so we can check if you actually did complete that alliance raid today.

The one and done content is a pretty big issue, and part of the reason the Bozja relic grind sucked, for example. If you didn't/don't get it done then, you will have a much more difficult time getting it done later.

For what it's worth, I just hopped onto ESO and WoW to check and they're both bustling with player activity. That's what happens when the open world zones actually have things to do that remain relevant over time.

Weird. I pop into FFXIV and find the same thing, even in odd hours. Decide to FATE farm even in old xpacs? There's almost guaranteed to be at least one group in PF farming that expansion. Pick a random raid that's not highlighted at the moment? I can't recall the last time it took longer than a few minutes for the queue to pop. I have to say, though, the comment about "zones remaining relevant over time" and "WoW" being used in the same sentence is hilarious. The game is most known for rendering practically everything except the current expansion's zones completely irrelevant and absolutely confusing for anyone to play through...

Let me tell you this once, if you ran out of content to do, and do not like what you got left of things to do, play another game, no MMO in history has been able to keep up with content, no matter if you start 10 years after release, you will still run out of content to do.

If there is nothing to FFXIV for you right now, then play another game untill you something comes up in FFXIV that you like to do.

Saturday afternoon, pretty much prime gaming time. New content dies in a week, old content ist dead. Gotta stay subscribed though cause if you dont do content while its current you probably never gonna be able to do it unless its MSQ content. And this is content that unlocks a whole zone to play in, not some random sidequest content.

The game is fine though cause uh... you can just synthesize 500000 items i guess.

Eventually I just went and did something else.
