Yep! I have been playing GW2 as well since last year, when I was previously taking a hiatus from the game (again, still am, all I did was log in to post). I like being able to hop in and out whenever I want, and there are always people doing content in the world. I really don't like feeling like I have to play something. At the moment, I am working on getting my skyscale. It's nice to have something I can work on at my own pace, and well, just something to look forward to getting after putting in the time and work. There really isn't anything like that in this game, at least in EW. Similarly, it's why I have been surprisingly enjoying my time in Genshin, taking the open world at my own pace, with a nice amount of little collection and completion mixed in.

Simply put, if FFXIV continues like it is, there is very little reason to put much time into it. I don't even really bother gearing out anything other than my WHM, and even now, it's very out of date. I literally haven't bothered to grab the last relic weapon.

Same here, just completed my griffon. Skyscale, next. I'm literally taking a break before I start on that one though. I hear it's a job to do.
I agree - if XIV continues on like this I won't be returning. My sub runs out soon and I probably won't be back until 7.0. If I hear good things.

Anyways, this always happened at the late patch even on ShB content isn't it? Why surprised, once again?

Me? I'm almost done with all the content minus the Ultimate raid because I don't have patient to get 7 people to raid, so I can go play other games I've been missed on.

I don't believe that's how things went down. From what I recall, anyone critical of the game on any front has been attacked across numerous threads and even when they're positive about something they're accused of liking the 'wrong' things.

I believe a certain poster even referred to anyone wanting the Scions to suffer some meaningful consequences as 'psychos', only to screech to the high heavens the moment someone got a bit curt with them in turn.

It's been a common trend for years.

Actually, it's exactly how things went down. The only common trend around here has been the dedicated group of naysayers bashing anyone who dares to actually post something positive about the game on here. Look at any thread that talks about something someone enjoys, and it's practically a guarantee that you'll see several people on the first page attacking them or bashing the game (yourself included). You just don't like being called out on that reality.
