yeah lets blame the players for having houses and for the fact housing is scarce, and that people dont want to quit because they'll have to spend years to get the same house back, i'm sure that's the players fault too.

Housing is one of the few features added to the game that continually receives new updates, so it strikes me as rather strange to downplay the value and importance of acquiring and maintaining one.
Frankly, there being nothing to do, just means I will continue to spend my money and time more and more elsewhere. I have been a relatively big spender in this game, and have typically kept my sub. I have kept my sub going for my house, but I could easily let it go whenever I want since it's only a small. The funny thing about a small, especially so here on Dynamis (apparently others had this 'problem' too earlier this year), I could just unsub, let my house go, and the next time I feel like having a house, or perhaps the game is in a better state, I can just buy another. There have been smalls - neighboring smalls - empty in my ward for months, actually since the wards opened realistically. It's not even Goblet!

The sad fact about Dynamis is that people still refuse to move there even when DC travel exists.Frankly, there being nothing to do, just means I will continue to spend my money and time more and more elsewhere. There are people on Balmung still complaining about not being able to get a house, when they can just transfer, buy a med/small on any dynamis server, and still play on balmung 24/7.
I don't know the state of the larger houses. I know large houses specifically are in relatively high demand here still. But smalls are pretty much free. Doubtful you'd even have any competition on the bid. If they add more wards, as long as you are on Dynamis, you can get a house whenever you want, I'd say. The DC simply came out too late to matter, everyone got their boosted exp, and transferred out.The sad fact about Dynamis is that people still refuse to move there even when DC travel exists.

I mean, I haven't actually played the game in several months (I can post because I logged in and logged out), but from what I have heard, players are looking for larges. I presume mediums would be similar, but if there are actually mediums just sitting there open, that REALLY shows the state of the DC.

Until the game is actually and substantially dying I am of very strong faith that there will never be enough houses of the desired size until they go with the ability to support instanced housing (1:1 demand). There is no way, imo, they could make enough large and medium houses to suddenly not have that problem- so many dead, super dead, wards to sustain that.I don't know the state of the larger houses. Before Island Sanctuary, which has no actual promise to be what I hope it will be.. I know.., I had really hoped for a dynamic space that could change themes (akin to Wildstar, Rift, or in some ways ESO)- in this way we could both solve size and for the most part location. I am absolutely okay with people loving their ward spot, but man if someone said "one or the other" for wards vs powerful instanced housing that's anything like the three MMOs I listed... I'd pound NOT WARDS so hard lol. I'd prefer not to force that though, especially as I think they can coexist. There are so many negatives and only a few benefits, when that is the only solution.
If Islands get the house that'll be absolutely awesome, if they can change the world space via glamour/creation magic or alternatively other potential lands to visit... Wow-eee!!
From the start I thought this was their goal eventually even when back when they said we shouldnt expect instanced housing (people did anyway but I cant really blame them for it because A) it just makes sense and B) we didnt really hear what it was actually going to be). The only two options as to why it isnt that make any sort of sense to me is that SE either hopes to hold people hostage with the current housing so they keep staying subbed as auto demolition on the island sanctuary wouldnt make sense or that they are unable to implement it because of how badly the game runs at this point. I do wish auto demolition would just stop being a thing.Until the game is actually and substantially dying I am of very strong faith that there will never be enough houses of the desired size until they go with the ability to support instanced housing (1:1 demand). I have to ask this, and Id really like some honest answers: Why is everyone so fixated on large and medium? I ask this because, on Kujata at least , on my ward ALONE are maybe 11 smalls no one has touched in months. Loads more in other wards. There is no way, imo, they could make enough large and medium houses to suddenly not have that problem- so many dead, super dead, wards to sustain that.
How can anyone say there are no houses available when there are plots literally going begging?
How did I get mine? I walked up and bid on it with ZERO competition. So you cant get a large or medium, isnt a house a house? I just dont get it....

Because smalls are barely larger than an appartment and will bind you to the game. The outdoor area is so small its only really useful to place a training dummy and for gardening, pretty much no room for decorating. I regret winning my small.I have to ask this, and Id really like some honest answers: Why is everyone so fixated on large and medium?
