I feel like I am actually part of a small town in an age where community is largely dead in most other MMO'.s. It's very special to me so I fight hard against things that I think would be to the deteriment of the community.

This is so funny to me because it perfectly illustrates how you literally don't even understand what you're arguing against or defending papa Yoshi and XIV against, you just feel the compulsive need to do it no matter what.

My main character is on Balmung, and I've been on there since before your WoW streamer e-daddies released you from your 15+ year old shackles and told you to come play this game. Everything that you listed existed before now, and existed simultaneously while the developers were giving us things like Eureka, Bozja or other content that encouraged the community to work together, communicate and actually play the game together. None of this will prevent you from pretending you are your XIV character as you modbeast, send tells asking other players to break ToS with you by swapping Mare codes and doing /beesknees in a totally not ERP venue in the Mist somewhere.
