It takes very little effort to wish a happy birthday to someone who had a big part in creating something you love. I wouldn't call that unhealthy at all.

You missed the point. The point is how they interact with someone they have no physical connection with and how they interact with people in their everyday lives. If someone is just happy birthday person and they want to say that to everyone that is different. Just like I don't get mad at the lady who literally refers to everyone by "Dear", it is who she is. But if she just called me dear I would find that creepy.



You also must have missed where this is the same fan base on reddit who has organized and sent gifts in the past. Which got a bunch of support from the community.

I told my server at the restaurant Happy Birthday, because I overheard one of their co-workers mention it. Am I mentally unstable?

No, I'm polite and caring. Unlike you. A little kindness is what this world needs, but too many people are concerned about only themselves. This is why humanity is doomed.
