You know, this goes both ways, wherein people seem to have the perception that counter-criticisms and disagreements with said criticisms are as if they're a personal attack/insult.
Many people on the forum trying to play make belief as if they're somewhat 'above it' despite doing the self-same thing they're criticizing others for. Half of the people in this thread reap what they sow at this point.

I really don't see counter criticism. I generally see same tired excuses. Saying it is time or money isn't a counter. Everything takes time and money tell me something relevant. I never did Bozja, but I said maybe if it was tweaked I would be interested in doing it. Someone mentioned about farming some item. That because it was such a hassle it made them less likely to do Bozja. Talk about how adjusting old content would break the game. That is a counter argument. Instead I mostly see, the devs work too hard they already add so much, you can't ask for more ff14 can't afford a team to make more items. That is just (insert whatever you want here). When we called SE out for bad Stormblood launch/design general response, SE can't work on weekend to fix everyone being stuck don't play. That also isn't really a reasonable response. And it was such a simple mistake, you have X amount of instances you sold X expansions.
I am not calling you out. I don't think I have ever seen a post from you specifically. Just the side that thinks they are counter doesn't feel like that is what they are doing. They are just circling the wagons and aren't very helpful.

Like, the people using this phrase don't even play half the content released, so what issue do they have with more content being added for those people that do play the game.
A question that I ask myself repeatedly. In any case, they seem to be the ones winning out given the state of the game and no signs of improvement on the horizon. The weirdest counter argument i see is 'the game does not need more, go play something else'.

Are you okay with time between patches doubling to account for the increase of content you like combined with the regular content already being released? Or are you saying you want them to switch doing what they're doing and focus on releasing content that you enjoy?
There are other MMOs, even some F2Ps, that manage to have patch cycles shorter than FFXIV's while also providing considerably more content.
And what about the people who do all forms of content saying the same thing? Because, news flash, quite a bit of the commentary on the lack of stuff to do is coming from people that have run out of stuff to do.no, they are only doing one part of the content which is raiding and they do not do anything else and then cry when there is nothing to do. They choose not to do anything else in the game, that is not a Dev issue that's a you issue more than anything else. Stop crying and do other content in the game...

And this isn't one of those mmos. Do you think that they'll suddenly start pumping out more content with shorter cycles just because other mmos do it?
I'll be honest, that doesn't sound like them saying "we're going to double the money we invest into FFXIV and add a bunch of studios to development" it sounds like PR speak. But hey, that would be amazing, maybe with 7.0 they'll ramp up development. Would be great for everyone to have what they want. This never has to be the case, They can just improve the size of the development team.
From what we heard Square Enix recently acquired multiple game studios, any number of those studio's could be handed over to the XIV team to help bolster the amount of content we receive in the same timeframe.

We are still waiting for it. If they are going to spare no expenses to invest into the games future, they need a bigger team to help reduce the games dead periods.
