Virtually deifying Yoshi-P memes aside; I've never looked at FFXIV as the kind of game within which I'm required to complete the content. Whether or not I'm in a minority doesn't matter, it's just how I play the game. I only really stick around to complete the story--which, despite opinions, hasn't yet disappointed me. My requirements for a game to be "good" for me are way more relaxed than many people. I'm just here to hang out with virtual friends and run content whenever I feel I'm ready for it. In my eyes the game is just fine for that even if I feel certain things could be improved.

Same...I like the game a lot but here it feels like a crime. People jump on you to basically say that the way they want the game is the only course the game should have and if you enjoy it or have a different playstyle you are responsible for the death of it. If you don`t care to live 24/7 in it with endless content you`re wrong from the start which is quite an extreme take, reading the thread made me realise people seem to forget there`s more than one type of player and I don`t blame them, people will always focus only on themselves and their wants, but the way they voice their opinions when someone else says they are happy with what they have makes it hard to want to interact and reach a middle ground without massive misunderstandings or needless fights.

Do I have issues with the game or the story itself? PLENTY.
I absolutely hate what they did to Graha, I don't like the overly cutesy approach most of the time, I am massively disappointed in how they created the male Viera as it has nothing with what I and plenty others expected, the lack of customization, the fact that we are still waiting for goddamned hats, housing is an absolute disaster, no I am not a fan of venues nor do I think ffxiv should be known for that as "content", endwalker was mediocre compared to shadowbringers, Yshtola is getting on my nerves, I think the scions need way more depth etc etc but the fact that I don't ONLY crap on the game is clearly wrong.

Another thing is that while I hate these aspects, others love them and that`s something I have to make my peace with, nobody will ever only like or want what you like and want, its normal. Example: according to my wants, nobody would like to play bunny bois, yet they are freaking everywhere whenever I log in, so yeah I`m still bitter they didn`t craft them the way plenty of us hoped but instead I try to be happy for those that I see around being happy they are the opposite of what I wanted.

If I ONLY hated the game I would not be here paying a subscription to still play it. Once the game only disappoints me I`ll move on, but until then I will focus on both positives and negatives and as soon as the game makes me feel worse than it does good I'm gone because all these years I saw we can shout as loud as we want, they will still do whatever they want and the only thing I`ll do is waste my energy.
