Ill also ask again: If you didnt think I was being paid, why say it in the first place? Forum cred? Being an edgelord? I just find it odd that you would say something you didnt even think was accurate or even remotely true. Or was it an off the cuff cheap shot?

Noting that this forum is negative as hell, nitpicky and full of armchair devs who all think they can do it better..and cant...thats kind of a factual statement. This small echo chamber is full of constant whiners who are never satisfied and never will be.

Nope. Whilst I have admitted that nothing is ever perfect, you will forgive me if I trust the devs and writers and designers far more than I would trust your "opinions" and "hot takes". Thats kinda another given, seeing as these same people took FF 14 from 1.0 to the massive success it is today. They have a track record of success, including Endwalker which, aside from your own niche "issues", has been well received and enjoyed by everyone else that isnt you.

I have full faith in the game and the people who have taken us to this point. I trust them. I have enjoyed the game immensely...and will continue to do so. Im sorry you arent enjoying the game. Lastly, “touch grass” can be a retort or comeback on platforms like Twitter and Reddit. In a way, telling someone to touch grass can be an “ad hominem” argument — where you directly insult someone instead of responding to their points. Some people on the internet use the phrase to shut down further discussion or suggest that someone doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

You clearly don't have a clue about MMO or any multiplayer game development do you? It's sadly extremely common for devs to sabotage themselves. Look at what's been going on with WoW for like years at this point, the devs were being arrogant and thought they knew better than the community and it put the game in the gutter. MMOs thrive on community feedback if you don't keep evolving and producing content that people actually like, you'll end up in the dumpster like countless other MMOs, and for SE that would be devastating, considering how poorly they have been doing lately (Marvels Avengers, Babylon's Fall, Forspoken, selling most their Western studios and IP for monopoly money etc.).

But do go on about how this one person is the only one dissatisfied with Endwalker. This expansion is the worst one yet and it's not our fault if you can't see it. It's literally a fact that for Endwalker they've shifted focus from long form content to one and done content and that's not good for any MMO.

There was a time in which I would agree with that quote. However, on the occasions where I have attempted to engage in an honest discussion with you over our differences in opinions, your posts without fail instantly devolved into angry rants. And then you get offended that Aveyond won't give you the time of day and that I don't bother to answer you when you ask dumb questions. I wonder why we would do that. Some people just don't have points worth responding to in a courteous manner.

Others warned them, telling them that things needed to change for the better or the game would decline further. The white knights didn't listen. Exactly. These "shut up, everything's perfect" white knights do nothing but hurt the game. If you love something, you want it to be better, not stay the same or get worse. We all love the same game here, it's just that some of us want it to be better while some of you shout at us to be quiet and go play something else. Guess who's doing more harm to the game in the long run?

I think you are attributing those people far more influence than they actually have.

Maybe so but it's not been one or two threads were people immediately jump to tell someone who criticizes the game to unsub and go play something else. Eventually people will start doing that if they feel they can't express their opinions without being yelled at that the game isn't for them. The community for this game is notoriously bad with the toxic positivity already.

I'd say it's only half of the problem. The other half is that despite the numerous live letters and interviews, the dev team isn't actually good at communication. It feels like complaints aren't being acknowledged and Yoshi-P acting surprised about issues that's been there and discussed to death for half a decade isn't inspiring confidence.
It doesn't help either that whenever they do hear about any issue, their immediate reaction is to cut content or dumb it down so it's as innofensive as possible.
So why bother?

Yeah totally.. Because when I put off all my homework and assignments until the end of the year, I end up doing it all in 1 night and getting an A in the class. Mhm. lol
Or more appropriately, I wait until the beginning of next year to turn in everything from last year.. And the year before.. And the year before..

It won't happen. No more lying to ourselves. Getting new shaders and lighting won't immediately fix all of the asset issues they dug themselves into.

I'm not a game developer or anything, but I wonder how many of their strange decisions can be contributed to the infamous "spaghetti code"?

Not to make excuses for them, because I feel like the devs genuinely don't care enough, but just so I finally let go of my hope that the customization options in this game can get fixed.

I'm one of those people who values character customization (and story/lore quality), so I'm pretty bummed out by the character creation in this game. It's super outdated, and the existence of "limited races" in an SE game is laughable to me, no offense.

Like, why create a race of rabbit eared humans or a beast race if you can't fit/modify hats on them? Why make it so that Hrothgar have to pay real-life money to change their face if they want a particular, unique hairstyle that only exists for a certain face? Because of the "limitations of the character creator"? Okay....sounds like terrible oversight that probably should've been resolved before adding Hrothgar.

And don't get me started on the 6.1 Hrothgar hair fiasco that pushed the development of (most) shared hairs for them back by one patch.
