You contribute to said "Derailments" if you really want the conversation to continue, then lets continue it instead of getting all upset, and indirectly going at "The Defenders" because people disagree with you or poke fun at some of the wacky things you have said. By you responding to me, it proves you never blocked me, so that means you should have seen the MANY times Ive given you credit for speaking sense, and also critical on your delivery as it muddies your actual point and turns into it something else alot of times.
All I was trying to do was get off of the drama with one of my "light-hearted jokes" and we could have cooled down and continued. But I guess thats wrong to do, Im just part of the Problem.

A thread getting so many pages is only an indication of a severe lack of moderation because on any moderated forum the mods would have locked it by page 9 as it was just arguing in circles with no productive value whatsoever. Good job, you're persistent enough reply guys to keep it alive forever but that really doesnt mean anything.

Mods are actually watching and deleting posts referencing a certain external website's thread involved in this drama for some reason. Dunno why. Guess they don't want brigading etc. (Which I mean, clearly exists by this point)

So its wrong to encourage Proper English to make a Clear point? So that people dont get the idea that the Poster is talking like what they say is just Objective fact? I dont apologize for this. Sure I know the internet has its own "Rules" but Im just built differently, I like people to attempt to speak clearly, and if misunderstood, have no issue in clarifying the meaning behind what they say so that its understood. I practice this, which is why I get upset when what I say gets twisted and the person obviously didnt understand me, but just jumps to conclusions instead of getting clarification.

Also, the Stupid Burger Meme only got so much traction, because Aveyond mentioned it and brought it up So-Many-Times in his rants! The Food meme wouldnt have happened if they mentioned it ONCE and never again. Might sound victim-blaming, but thats how it happened.
Criticism against EW and FFXIV as a whole is not a problem. MANY of the things said are agreed on. Not everything of course, but the response shouldnt be to come at the person and call them a Shill or Whatever because they might like what someone else doesnt like, or have a different opinion or Experience.

It was both sides. I actually thought Graeham was on the EW is bad side. As a lot of the times they posted they agreed with stuff that was said. I just stopped reading their posts cause it was hard to follow and understand. As I said it's one thing to post an opinion and have it come off as that. It's another when someone states an opinion and then treats it as fact. As some people on here tend to do and then get mad when you point it out. The whole burger stuff wouldn't even became a thing if a poster or two didn't practically write an essay about how they didn't feel as though it was money well spent by the devs.

People can make criticisms about the game. It's just any time anyone disagrees with an Op that is doing so people almost instantly start calling those that do shills or white knights ect. That those who disagree with whatever view point must enjoy and like all aspects of the game. Then people will try and say things like this doesn't happen with positive threads. Yet when someone does try to make a positive thread it doesn't even last a whole page before someone like Stormpeaks or RO41 to come in and write one of their typical responses to anything positive said about the game.

Some people on here come off so bitter about the game. To the point they seem surprised when others ask them why are they still playing it. Or they're looking at the past with the rose colored glasses they accuse other of wearing. Others make it look like all they ever want to do is nitpick.
