Honestly if a mod can achieve this then SE should not let us down

There are so many things they "should" have done in the past and, well... here we are... four years after the addition of Viera, and Hrothgar, and they still can't use all available hairstyles and wear all available head gear (which was easily solved by a quickly released mod)

The structure of the face is by and large quite similar. The lioness is a bit sleeker, 'thinner' maybe (not in terms of weight but just in terms of 'how wide from left to right', but for the most part it is very similar in shape to the male. So I don't see how it can be justified in any way that the females of a fantasy race based on these animals would look so much more humanlike in terms of facial structure compared to the males, outside of 'the devs were really lazy and just wanted to use the Femroe size option for helmets to save on doing additional work'

What are you talking about? They are very different. The snout,the teeth,the actual skull and more. The only reason why you are spouting this is because you want them to be big furries like the males. I've actually watched lion documentaries before but all you care about is trying to use female lion with a defect as evidence. Did you know males can also have no mane? Doesn't make them any less male.

The pictures you put aren't appealing at all. I'd hate for them to be made that way.

That image is amazing and in my opinion people would be lining up to play that character including myself. I have a male hroth waiting to use a fantasia but he won't be if it's simply a female Roe with fur.

Also have to Criticize this isn't very Feline Looking, or wouldn't be a good fit for a Female Counter-Part to Male Hrothgar.

Yes, i would want them to be 'big furries like the males', because I think they should look like they belong to the same race as the males. Making them have a weirdly human looking face means they would look like an entirely separate race. If Bangaa were the playable race instead, would you be demanding the females have no snout too?

Yes I am aware that male lions can have no mane, and that they're still male despite that. What's your point? I'm not posting the picture because the female lioness had a mane, I'm posting it to compare the shape and dimensions of the face. And if you gave most people those two zoomed in pics of the male and female next to each other, I bet a fair chunk of people would actually get it wrong which one is the male of the two. Asking for the 'beastial race' to have a 'humanish face' is like those weird people who mod their Au Ra to have no scales or tail. Why tf are they playing as X race, known for Y appearance trait, and then using a mod to remove Y trait?

As for the pic, I'd be maybe fine with it except the face. Once again, it's too human. I like the legs, but they can't do the legs either due to gear issues

edit: I looked again, arms are thinner than mine and I'm horribly underweight, changed my mind, the only part I like is the legs

But no seriously, we all know that they won't have those legs, claws and body fur. The males didn't get it, the females won't either, unless it's their starting gear.
The way you can determine whether a player has a Hrothgar as their character is determined by body shape and head +other aditions like a tail.
So it makes sense to give female Hrothgar the same attributes as their male counterpart: beast/lion head and a body shape that can set itself apart from other females (personally hoping for a pear shape). That is made to give visual diversity, we lack a female playable beast woman, they should be that.

Also don't feed the troll, that user has been looking to go into arguments with others to derail the thread for a while. Attacking people's character instead of the subject. Just ignore them. We should keep the thread focus on what we would like SE to do and keep supportingtheir addition. Though if they are planned for 7.0 it's already too late for that, the model is already done/in the finishing stages. And all we can do is wait.

In other words, has there been any news for 6.4? Any chance of getting an NPC like Yugiri or Fran?

The next Live Letter is May 12, so maybe then. But I wouldn't expect anything until the letter after that, since this one will me all about 6.4 and Golbez.

Silly question:

But do you guys think that the Outfit Queen Gunhildr (the Primal/Misija's ancestor) was wearing might actually be the Female Hrothgar starting gear?

I was initially on the fence for this one since she is just an NPC and we don't really get their outfits unless is through the Mog Station, but she is meant to be a stand-in for the Hrothgar Queen (regardless of what the lore says, we all know that Misija isn't a Roegadyn name and she was perhaps originally made to be a female Hrothgar but couldn't finish the model in time, so they changed story to fit). Also, when Fran was shown in the 24-man raid (Stormblood) she is wearing the Female Viera starting gear (and yes I know that is her outfit from whatever game she wore it, but my point still stands).
So if it actually is the starting gear, would you like it? I personally do.

+extra point here, but in the drawing made by the FF14 artist that I keep posting, the female Hrothgar in it seems to be wearing that outfit as well. And since the male Viera in the same post was wearing his starting gear, could this be a confirmation or is it just that this was the only outfit in correlation to the female Hrothgar and that is why they chose it?
