Most mentally stable FF14 Fanboy. What the lack of hats does to someone. Just because you got burned out playing WoW for 15 years doesnt mean you have to defend FF14 at every step you take now. Theres alot to criticize about both games, because the genre itself already has to do alot of corner cutting just from the nature of it. M+ is the best option for content replayability and also because it adds regular different affixes, and the dungeon changes every few months.

SE tried to do their own version with criterion and whatever is the other one, and both failed absolutely miserably, because what they released was M+, on a single dungeon, rewarding well... absolutely nothing

They actually managed to change a winning recipe into a disaster that the entire community or close to it completely ignores.

On the contrary, they avoided the disaster that caused WoW to plummet when they went all-in on M+ and eSports, attracting the toxic crowd that has no place here. I'm glad we dodged that one.

Endless content if you are new to the game and haven't played for 9 years.

I've been playing since 2015, and steadily since probably 2018-2019 or so. There's still a laundry list of things I'm either in the middle of or yet to do that I'm looking forward to enjoying some day...

What's funny is it's usually pretty easy to spot WoW refugees (Like yourself). Because they like to blame WoW for it's toxicity, but also brought it with them. Your posts read exactly like someone that would post on the WoW forums about how WoW is dead. "WoW killed my dog, took my wife, crashed my truck"

As soon as old XIV players comment on the things that WoW and other MMOs do well, and that it'd be nice to have those things ALONGSIDE what we already have - They get super toxic toward us and defensive that XIV doesn't need anything WoW has, because XIV can do no wrong, and WoW can do no right.

Realistically - They can both do right and wrong, and it's really important for us to understand where those points are instead of you just lashing out as us for wanting more than the MSQ.

Someone that's "only played WoW for a few months" wouldn't comment on how WoW is dying, or talk so specifically about M+ and ESports. Even XIV players didn't give a shit or keep track of that. We've been in our own shitty bubble for the past decade. I literally didn't even know what M+ was until like 5 months ago. How would you know WoW has no content, if you haven't done it?

Ah yes they respect your time by forcing you to stay subbed if you have a house, putting gear on weekly lockouts almost all the way until the next tier, delaying content until x.x5 or x.x8 patches, and so on. Yoshi-P can say whatever he wants, the fact is they don't respect your time more then any other MMO.
