So how do you expext SE to know if a person has mods on their pc? You want them to put invasive anti-cheat programs on FF14?

If you do, have fun trying to get them to agree to it.

The only work around is to have the NA/EU/OCE datacenters launch under Square Enix NA to circumvent the Japanese laws of having the game owned by Square Enix JP.

And at that point, half of the playerbase go back to playing IMVU and the other half complain the game is dead.

I think you got the wrong idea, I'm all on board for them wiping out ERP mods, i think its disgusting.

If removing ERP R18+ mods means people will play the game as intended, and do actual content, then please do.

Mods are what is keeping these people in the game, not the boring criterion dungeons with 0 rewards or the other new dungeons that have absolutely 0 value whatsoever because they have no rewards, or the oh so amazing roulettes in which you end up with literally 2 spells because it's so much fun to be put in a low level dungeon.

FFXIV is an amazing game for its social aspect, that's honestly and I am sorry, this is my opinion, all it's good for, the content is extremely mediocre and the pace is even worse, there is literally barely anything at all, and the only response you get when you call that out is "you havent done anything the game has to offer", like what ? Catch 10000 fishes for an achievement ? Or do 100 000 desynths ? Or run the same boring dungeon with 0 difficulty a thousand times ?

I seriously dont understand you. You rightfully complain about the absolute lack of content, yet defend the ERP crowed as if your life depended on it despite those people being partly responsible for the state the game is in. Why create content when you have a bunch of people paying monthly without any new content just so they can use the game as their ERP modding platform. Sorry but you are delusional if you think the rise of the venue crowed isnt in a way responsible for the lackluster content. Yes please DO MAKE THEM QUIT, then the people remaining will be people that actually play the game, and will have much larger "vote with your wallet" power than when we have half the playerbase being content with no content cause of their modding.
