How do you feel now that XIV has become an evenue/egasm paradise?

Exactly. I don't care what people do in private but what annoys me is the constant venue advertisement spam that plagues literally everywhere. It's so nonstop in cities it can be difficult to even follow a conversation but even out in the middle of nowhere I've seen shout ads for them. Blacklisting them doesn't do anything either because they're all hired help so whoever you blacklisted will just get cycled out for someone else the next day. That's not including the Other tab in PF being completely unusable for anyone not interested in clubs because they all have to put up 5+ ads for the same venue.

It's not a matter of "if you don't like them don't go to them" because the people who run them do everything in their power to shove it in your face as hard as possible. It's more obnoxious than gold sellers have ever been.

What you do is go to their event and start spamming chat for your own event.

I used to attend venues fairly regularly. After a short while, I just wasn't having fun hanging out / dancing / losing money gambling, and I stopped going to them as often. I may still drop in and check out venues for new decor, but I never stay long nowadays.

I 100% support people and FCs making their own venues. I used to be in an FC whose main focus was their weekend venue, I appreciate the amazing amount of time and effort they put it to create an immersive dance club experience.

I seldom see a shout ad for a venue. When I'm in PF, I'm looking for something specific and just blip right over venue ads, they're on a completely different tab from my search most of the time.

To those getting upset about adult venues: Is the venue's ad really rated "above" PG-13 - or "T for Teen"? None of the ones I've seen are. Rather, they are helpful and explanatory. If a venue's ad says "18+ Content," that's providing the same service as the label on a DVD at the store-warning kids to stay away.

Be grateful that venues use ads that specifically state their content rating (18+) and take responsibility to make sure that anyone attending knows what they're getting into. If kids are playing FFXIV "with their parents' consent" and get into that sort of thing, you better believe that they're watching porn too. And their parents might be 100% OK with that. You raise your own kids and let parents raise theirs, imo.

There’s nothing to do in XIV after the expac has been out for a while. I don’t blame people making up their own fun. Or quitting.

But there is actually a lot to do, especially if you're not a day 1 player. There is so much content in this game, even if it's not all current content. People just seem to be uninterested in it.

To be honest, Ive been playing alts precisely because I figured I may run into this issue. I like the game and I like doing the content but once its done, its done. I also like making new characters rather than just fantasia so I have endgame alts each with their own individual levels of content progression. Its been keeping me busy when I log into the game, although I make sure I do everything current on my main first.
