Stop waiting for cutscenes in alliance raids. We never did this in Stormblood.

Actually I am wondering with there is a debate. Op is right, what's the point of waiting for people watching cutscenes? If we pull during the cutscene they miss what...? 20 sec? 35 sec max? What a big deal. Time is precious, you are not ruining anyone experience. Just pull

Not trying to be contrary, but there is a distinct chance they will bampf into the boss fight mid-mechanic and be damaged/killed by it completely outside of their control.

This happened to my wife in one of the Nier raids and she was rather unhappy being weakened and 1 shot by everything in that fight after that.

Similarly, when Prae scenes were skippable, I had a friend who didn’t even play the dungeon. As soon as they got out of one cutscene they immediately jumped into another. They felt very dissatisfied/unhappy that THAT was the climax of the 2.0 series. I forget if they were on free trial..but this was somewhere in the Stormblood era. Either way that alone made them decide not to buy HW/SB.

So, generally people won’t care if you pull. 99% probably don’t. But it can absolutely ruin the run for that 1%.

Agreed, but some people want them to be mandatory instead of optional. They don't want people to have the option to skip. They want instances to be like Praetorium. Except, instead of an in-game feature, they peer pressure and threaten to report anyone who pulls early. It's the pinnacle of overriding the developers' intent to fit your own ulterior motives of instilling social compliance.

Very true. So have you written to Square Enix telling them to gate the fights for cutscenes? They allow people to pull early, and cutscene-watchers are teleported to the fight once they're done. They actually added this feature in 4.3 to accommodate both types of people. So...why do you believe that Square Enix is promoting griefing, and how are you going to get the company's attention? Do you think mass-reporting people will be effective when modders, cheaters, hackers, and bots already go unscathed?

It’s not griefing. Explain how it is. Does the person miss their cutscene? No. Are they locked out of the fight? No. Are you blowing smoke? Yes

Well i'm not waiting for just a few persons. On day one and maybe two i'm patient, but then i'm just pulling and most people start fighting.
The players can watch the cutscenes anyway.
