We don't need Yoshida to make any statement because it's already been made, it's called the TOS. Modding is against it and doing it in any flavor will get you banned. It's just that they have also committed to not focing us to download instrusive methods to detect such software, so the only way they'll ever catch anyone modding is through reports, or if they do something dumb like posting a FFXIV screenshot with logo on their twitter with their in-game name - even that being a bit of an edge case.

The reason an "innocent" mod would get the hammer first is that people like you would think that an "innocent" FFIX remake or whatever would be treated differently, and proudly show off and brag - guess what, no it would not, and in the end the horny people are also smart enough to keep mum.

Then they should ENFORCE the ToS.

It's of no consequence to you what people do purely on their end. Even this mare stuff you're going off about is something you'd need to really dig into and install if you actually wanted to see what others were doing. You're just going out of your way to find meaningless shit to get butthurt over.
