Stop waiting for cutscenes in alliance raids. We never did this in Stormblood.

Maaaan even if OP's just dicking us around, you've gotta admit there are times when it's taken too far. The other day I was in a puppets bunker where some guy who wasn't even on the same map section as the rest of the party (at the final boss) wasn't readying up because he was clearly just AFK and our whole group (23) sat there waiting for this guy who wasn't even at his PC. Finally I just pulled as a NIN and sure enough the fucking mEnTor in the group got angry on behalf of a guy who wasn't even at his PC. Like, sorry guy, we've all got shit to do. Your AFK buttbuddy can just join the fight when he gets back. This isn't the end of the world. There wasn't even a first-timer prompt at the start of the raid, so it's not like it was anyone's first time. Some people are just looking for an excuse to get mad and they're desperate for a situation where their anger is warranted, but this ain't it chief.

Then, by all means, do the pulling yourself, or if other people mind then they will do the pulling themselves.

If you have the option to pull, then do so, people shouldn't be required to cheapen their own experience by skipping cutscenes and then later watching them in the inn once the duty has concluded and the anticipation dwindled. Similarly, you shouldn't be forced to wait, which is seldom the case. Bar, what? Entry into duty, and the MSQ roulette.

That sounds less about the cutscene and more about someone AFKing hoping to get kicked so they wouldn't take a penalty for leaving the duty.

Bit weird to wait until the final boss to do that. Which, in hindsight, I guess I didn't specify. Just figured it was assumed since we're talking about waiting for cutscenes, which are typically at the last boss. But I'll edit.

Yep. People use one person to hold 23 people hostage and call that "welcoming".

I've never minded waiting - you know why? Because I was that person once; new to the game, enjoying playing the story and digesting the cutscenes, wondering what was coming next. And in hindsight, when it was me in those newbie shoes, I was certainly grateful that them team didn't just steamroller ahead without me.

Coming out of a cutscene to find a boss half-dead or, in some cases, already defeated because impatient players who've seen it all before, countless times, think what they want takes priority over a new player's MSQ experience doesn't give off a very good impression at all. Particularly not when you consider the game has a reputation for having a friendly in-game community.

I'm all for waiting for a cutscene if someone asks. Most of the time everyone has already done it, so it hardly ruins my day to have to add like an extra 30 seconds to a run once every 5-10 runs.

I love it when people say nothing and then get mad after the pull, on behalf of a sprout who's just quietly watching the cs while the raidchat devolves into anger and chaos, and then the sprout exits the cutscene and doesn't even care.

Not once since started playing did ever hold ones up because of a cutscene. If you want to watch them you should say at the start. Some have the option to skip seen cutscenes not turned on, just to make ones wait for them to end. I have seen that a few times in duties.

It’s been how many years since they made msq roulette cs unskippable? Keep dreaming buddy. They are currently unskippable due to poor design choice. Those places could be completed by the time you were out of your 2nd cs.

When I was farming gwibbers, there was at least 1 person in 6 different groups I was in that would watch the opening CS every. Single. Time. Never once skipping it. In a FARM party.

There are people who don't have auto CS skip on to troll, go get food or a drink at the start, or just because they need to watch it for the 100th time.

People want to talk about rude/inconsiderate behaviour, but yet, don't bat an eye at this. I thought waiting was just for the "first time experience". Except it's not even new people at this point.

It happens every day in at least 3 roulettes. Waiting for CS but no new people.
