Some achievements are intended to be a grind so those who enjoy grinds have something to do. You've just met one.

Following a player-produced optimal workshop path is not going to make a gathering achievement easier to get. It's going to make it harder since most of the value in the workshop comes from materials that can't be manually gathered.

The amount isn't that bad compared to the effort required for Landking of the World. I'm also confused about why you're bringing up time limited achievements. There's no deadline for completing these achievements because there's on reason to believe they're going to be removed from the game. If you're talking about in comparison to time-gated achievements, achievements that aren't time-gated almost always have higher requirements than those that are. It's a poor comparison point.

Why get upset over an achievement that offers no reward of any sort, nor is a stepping stone to another achievement that does?

If your gut reaction is to say "but I'm a completionist", use this as an opportunity to take a first step to rid yourself of an extremely healthy obsession. You do not need to do everything. You're only hurting yourself by going after useless achievements in a game when you don't even enjoy the activity required. Dedicate your time to the content you do find enjoyable instead - even if there are no more achievements left to be earned from that content.

Please don't say "but getting achievements is fun to me". Clearly it isn't if you felt the need to post this.

That's also a terrible to take to criticize people for going after "achievements" or being a "completionist", they exist within the game like that's their entire function. And if the devs cared enough to keep updating it the achievements DO unlock currency that were meant to buy items from the achievement guy so they weren't entirely useless up to this point. But unfortunately they haven't expanded upon it to let people get more items.

Since you completely missed the context of my post you should maybe re-read it but it sounds like you are rather judgemental in your viewpoints to begin with so nothing will probably be accomplished there.

If you want it, you better get started, some achievements in this game is not just handed out, play another MMO, if you need to change this.

Either you grind it through or like others spends a year or something casually doing it, nothing should be handed out.. I am still working towards the 10000 Dungeons achievement too here among other things.

This is such a weird take. Don't you think if I cared enough to make a post about this that I would be someone going for achievements on purpose and that I'm not bothered by the idea of them itself or even grindy ones. It's the fact that this one doesn't seem to make sense within the context of the content and other achievements which I was clearly trying to point out...

Collect 20000 hoards from Deep Dungeons... accomplish 10000 dungeons/instances... craft items of HQ 10000 times... do 10000 fates.

I don't see what you are coming after and for, some of the achievements REALLY am things you need to grind for, so nope what I mentioned to play other MMO's where achievements is a linear system would be better for you, if you need it that much that is, also if you want something you better work for it, and the final steps usually has a much larger margain than the steps before and with good reason.

And you keep failing to acknowledge the point others are making.

It is a grind achievement for those who like grinds.

You don't like the grind? Then don't do the achievement. You don't miss out on anything by not doing it. It offers no reward. It doesn't gate keep any other achievement that does.

If you're set on getting the achievement despite it being pointless except as a time filler, then set aside time to grind it out. The more time you devote to actually working on the achievement instead of complaining about it, the sooner you will be done.

I am litterally just pointing out how it works, I don't miss the point, if you want the achievement gather 30000 items in Sanctuary Island, also IT IS an easy achievement to get, unlike some of the others I have mentioned, stop yourself NOW.

It is a grind achievement and one of the easy ones to get as you just need to walk around and pick up things from the ground 30.000 times, it is not even a difficult one to do and it is one you can do quick, unlike collecting 10.000 hoards... or getting the Centurio Tiger.... which is achievements that is seriously long grinds.

I didn't miss the point, the OP just want everythign handed to him or her without putting any work in it, even if it is an easy thing to do, so just stop?

If you're not having fun with something, don't do it. Leave it for those who do have fun. There are players that actually enjoy those grinds.
