Ive had this argument with another person who fell back on this, and the Mural as Hard Evidence....
My Counter-Argument....
IF, these are what the Female Hrothgar are going to look like...why..Why...WHY are they NOT already in the game?
If they already have their appearance made, if THIS is what they are suppose to look like. Then they are already done, they should have been added to the game YEARS ago.
They should have been put into Shadowbringers. If not then, they should have been added in with the Male Viera in Endwalker.
HECK, if this is how they are going to look, why did the Male Viera come out BEFORE Female Hrothgar? Female Hrothgar were already made!
Also....we should have seen Female Hrothgar in Bozja.

This argument doesn't hold up, or make any sense. To me, thats just a Miqote.
If anything, this picture can just be early Concept art to just tease people. Just like the many different designs we saw of the Au Ra, and then they ended up DRASTICALLY Different then what we 1st saw.

So no, the Mural, and this Picture in the Artbook, does not convince me that this is how they will look.

Absolutely a beautiful human female head, yes. However I'll grant you Endsinger as "beastlike" if you count Thordan and Byakko too.

That Argument is more Halfassed then that picture.
We didnt know what to expect with Au Ra, they are an original Race for FFXIV.
Hrothgar / Ronso at least have the Base: that they are a Beastrace.

Half-assed argument. First of all you were talking about the different concepts for femra, where they went with one of the LEAST beastial versions around.

"Beastrace" can mean anything.

Its pretty Clear-Cut how they could/should be designed.
They already made the Males, so They already have a Basis. Deviating from that to make them more human-looking would be a worse mistake then making the Hrothgar to begin with.

I definitely don’t want nr 1 personally, Im not into overly buff characters as women, Id like them to be animal like and muscular (so definitely NOT picture 3 or 4) but not comically strong with such sharp edges .

There needs to be something that sets the females apart from the males and that should be the steroidal muscles, make them taller if you wish, make them strong, but please please don’t make me wonder from behind if thats a dude or a lady.


There was a really pretty picture in the thread a while ago where the hrothgal looked like an actual cat face and everything but still kept a feminine body frame and energy, that would be absolutely perfect and they can even buff her up a bit but I feel like picture 1 is too exaggerated.

I'd love if they made one clan look like 1 and the other clan look like 2, but they don't seem inclined on separate models for the clans anymore. Only Hyur and (to a much lesser degree) Miqo'te got any real differences other than colors.
