Waaait a minute, I'm completely behind the times! Is a new job really planned? Well, I'd like to see that, really... No idea what it might be, but would guess that it will somehow close ninja's solo equip!
I'm going to make the assumption that the new job is going to be from the new region we're going to, since that allows a reason for why you don't see them, they aren't in this part of the world. If one must give a reason why it suddenly shows up...we have sky pirates man, make one of them the trainer!
I don't think there's actually been an announcement unless I missed a comment in some Live Letter, but new jobs with an expansion launch has been a thing with every expansion. The exact details of it aren't set in stone (Heavensward had 3 jobs, they reduced it to 2 jobs per expansion from Stormblood onward, and I think devs have mentioned that they might cut it down to 1 new job per expansion at some currently unknown time in the future), but at least 1 new job with a new expansion is fairly expected.
I would hate this. There is always that one job I don't like at first, and it would irritate me to see only one. Though I'm tired of only the poster job getting the special gear.I don't think there's actually been an announcement unless I missed a comment in some Live Letter, but new jobs with an expansion launch has been a thing with every expansion. Red Mage got the chicken knife, but Samurai got nothing special. Dancer didn't get a special weapon, but Gunbreaker got Squalls sword. Reaper got a weapon from FFXI, but Sage got nothing. Samurai could of got Sephiroths Sword, though Square seems reluctant to add the Buster Sword, or other swords from FFVII material for some reason. Cyans sword could of sufficed. Though any weapon from Samurai in FFV would of sufficed as well too. Such as the Mutsunokami, which is the most powerful Katana in the FF games that use Samurai. Ame no Murakumo from XIV would of worked too, and tied into the new primal "Susano" of the expansion it debuted in. Would of been great honestly. The Ame no Murakumo is not just from FFXIV, its also from FFV, VI, X, etc.
Dancer is a trickier one, because chakrams as we know it aren't used in Square Enix games very often. It would more than likely be a fan inspired Chakram. Honestly I think this would of been a great way to create a crossover from Octopath Traveler. Primrose was a popular character, and her "fans" as a reskinned Chakram would of been popular. We've seen reskins that change the weapon before. For example there is the Oni Mace for Dark Knights. Another option would of been to take the fans that Yotsuyu used in her primal form, and made them usable.
Sage is another tricky case, and since its original job in the series merely wore the same staves as black mage, and white mage, I think it would of been neat to at the least include a special gear peace that is sage exclusive. Perhaps the hat in the job icon from FFIII. Would of been neat and a great way to incorporate FF history as a cool pre order bonus.
Anyway my point is the pre order bonuses for only one new job need to die. Make it for both please.

Wait which thread is this again..,?
edit:
PS there is a difference between poster job, new class/job, and callback glamour.
They are not the same. <SB Had two Poster jobs, SAM and MNK. But Striking jobs. Redmage had a Callback weapon.
SGE doesn't have one cause SGE is pretty XIV unique in its design. but that's fair on DNC and other jobs. though not all Expacs had a poster weapon/callback weapon til certain expansion going forward.
Hopefully the next post will be one with Female Rothgar News.

Honestly, I want a proper pet class, now that they took that away from Summoner. Beastmaster or some type of druid would be nice. Maybe have it be a mix of Geomancer and Beastmaster.
Then again, we'll probably get something else completely different anyway, so no point on hyping myself up for nothing.
Everybody who wants fierce beast-like lionesses, prepare to be disappointed!
What we will get is not a female pendant to male Hrothgar but instead big female Miqote.
There is an enormous amount of development resources being invested into creating a new race - at this point the final race - and they will go with the popular option, not the one that only a tiny minority of players would like to fantasia to. I think the census data on the most popular race/gender combinations in the game are well known.
Femhroths will be very human looking with no muzzles and only minor nose differences. That way players will also be more easily able to cosplay them.
Beastly is manly and this is a sentiment that is to stay. Especially in Final Fantasy XIV where you just need to take a look at the female primals as opposed to the male primals to see what is the acceptable looks range for feminine entities.
So femhroths are caught in a bind: they are female, but beasts at the same time. Historically beast-like designs for female characters are not well-received because of those two clashing identities. Beasts automatically become men, while women automatically cease to be beastlike, there is no satisfying synthesis. And male hrothgar already exist if you want to play a more beastly race.
The unique niche that femhroths could fill as a beast-like race is also countered by the unique but far more impactful niche that still exists within the broader Miqo/Au Ra/Viera paradigm, where Femhroths could become a very profitable fourth vector for fantasia addicts.
Imagine if they announce Femhroths and they are just a super unpopular race that most people would be like: "Not gonna play them but happy for the furries who like them" rather than "omg, Femhroths are way better than expected, ngl actually might fantasia over, not a furry btw!". It would be way bigger hype for the game.
We also already have examples in both male and female Au Ra where they forewent more fierce and animalistic designs in favor of more human ones.
All of that leads me to the conclusion that it makes sense to expect femhroths to be super sexually dimorphous - aka more human - from male hroths.
You could even make the different appearance seem logical from a story perspective - femhroths are to be protected by male hroths, which is why the males are more beastly.
And finally the biggest nail in the coffin if you don't believe me.
This is an official artwork for "The Queen" from the Shadowbringers Artbook:
Sure they might change course in the future, but this is a big Moonkeeper.
If they have any sense, it will look like Picture #1
If they were geniuses, we'd have 2 clans that would use Picture 1 & Picture 2.
BuFF Queen Waifuss AND Cute Kawaii Princess.
Also face options for both Animal Muzzle Snout, and shorter face lil Snout.
Be the best of Both worlds, and NOBODY would complain.
The worse thing they could do, is Picture #3 and #4.
Because we already have Miqote. If you wanna be a catgirl, you already have that option, what would be the Point?
We dont have have a Lioness / Female Beastman Option.
Be smart, be logical, dont be lazy. Whats the point of a Beastrace if you dont follow-through for BOTH Genders/Sexes?
