    Ok

You know what would be easier than multiple warnings? You know... OP actually... using... the house?

I'm sorry but people like you and OP get no sympathy from me. In my honest opinion they already do a lot by sending emails. Inactive houses should be relocated to other players.
I'm not saying this at all. It is 100% OP's fault for losing the house, and an inactive house should go back on the market. I'm agreeing with OP about there being many flaws in the system, and that a notification like the lottery collection notification wouldn't be a terrible idea. People rarely visit their timers tab, and some don't know it exists. It would also help if SE was more clear in their wording about people entering their house, instead of just engaging with their yard. Life happens, and SE's email notification leaves a lot to be desired as I pointed out in my earlier post.

I don't think OP was looking for sympathy, and they were only posting a suggestion like many other people. What is wild is the number of unconstructive comments telling OP they don't "deserve" their house.

On that note, I'm not looking for sympathy either. I've been in housing for over 7 years, and have never lost a house to demo. I have over 100 houses, and use a spreadsheet to keep track of workshops and when I last entered my homes. That doesn't mean I don't sympathize with people who are more casual about housing.
