Are there any plans to fix the 'Haurchefant' localization?

While I don't want him to be rewritten to match the Japanese, I think his earlier bits in ARR need some more warmth added to them.

Also, no amount of script-altering can fix that scene where he's apparently hitting on you in Japanese and the WoL looks creeped out. It makes me really quite uncomfortable and I'm glad we don't get more of it.

I want him to match exactly how he's portrayed in the Japanese version, at least if we have JP cutscene audio enabled like I mentioned in my previous post, so that way the vision matches and is consistent across all versions of the game. I don't see why so many people are uncomfortable with this change, it's not like it'd have bothered you had the change not been made.

You would have either overlooked it or you would have simply not liked it, but we would still have that knowledge that it's a popular trope among JP culture and media which would help people to understand the medium itself and bridge a cultural gap, something that often times goes unappreciated by Western consumers of such media.

System configuration: Other settings (red one at the bottom on the left)>change your language settings>apply and close. theres no literal need to force japanese language on the whole world cause you wanna experience him in japanese glory lol. you pay your sub. make the audio change. replay the scenes and enjoy lol.

I guarantee you would have not cared, overlooked it, or would have sucked it up and maybe taken the opportunity to learn about a popular character trope found in Japanese culture. Or just not played it, which probably would have been better for someone like you who takes such gratuitous offense to a trope in Japanese media.

That was definitely the worst part of his split personality disorder. I remember there were people playing the english version questioning if he was supposed to be evil or something because of it.

I think we got the real deal in the year of the horse heavensturn event where he wanted to ride the WoL as his personal steed.
