Afk. craft things. I enjoy just sitting there, in various places, and looking at the neighborhood sometimes.

I kind of live in my gardens. I don't spend a lot of time in hub cities.
Wow - thanks for all the input and insight on what you do with your houses!
Loving the info
Personal:
Stare at an empty space because I don't have a creative bone in my body ><
My main’s house is right by a marketboard (my main criteria when bidding) and I have all the items that grant some utility such as a dummy, retainer, garden, bell, armoire, aesthetician, fc chest and vendors (only missing a dresser), so I just hang there while I wait or craft. I’m also in the Goblet (didn’t look elsewhere) so I can qt to turn in gear to my GC in Ul’dah which is close to the main aetheryte. Although it was coming along nicely, decoration is not quite finished and I don’t know if I’ll ever finish.
It’s similar for my alts and the fc house. Fc house is not decorated indoors save for usable items and a few others as none of us seems to care (and I don’t like the medium’s layout) but we use it all the time.
I have another house on another DC and I let some friends influence me in choosing a more “prestigious” and pretty plot. I realize that I never use the house because it is further away from a MB and it’s not where my GC is. I‘ll probably end up just relinquishing it or let the timer run out.
I don’t care much about the social aspect of housing. I never look at PF social announcements and block all people spamming about clubs. I will sometimes hang at a friend’s house if we are waiting in between duties or if they ask me to check something but that’s it.
To me a house is essentially for pure convenience.
This is pretty much me as well. It's close to a MB without all the bards playing their songs or people dancing around / spamming voice emotes

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
I decorate my places mostly after some movie places or other games i like.
And when im done im using it to RP, meet with friends, or just to have a nice space i find appealing while i wait for my ques/pf to start.
And sometimes you just get a new idea and overthrow your old design.
I also had some people sometimes visiting my house and tell me they like it. I like to be praised for my designs![]()
"Managed"? My house was sitting there vacant lot for weeks, so I waited a little while longer then picked it up with no competitors. There are STILL medium and small plots available in the Goblet on Kujata - at least EIGHT on my ward alone , they have also been vacant for weeks.."we cant get a house' - yes you can, you're just being too choosy.I'm curious to know what y'all who have managed to obtain a house (personal vs FC) do with it once you have it.
Mine is a FC house with a full on workshop, I am busy with crafting, making sub components, doing missions, managing retainers, I entertain the odd friend, but mainly its an FC house.
hahahahahahaha - this would totally be me. Tried a FC room but I absolutely suck at decorating. Glad to know I'm not the only one![]()
What do I do with my house? The same thing I do every night Pinky... Try to take over the world!
Spent about half a week crafting, buying stuff, and arranging furniture to turn a medium house into a modern apartment. Now it's a place I head back to for retainer cycling and idling when I'm not on hiatus from boredom.
