    I know these are your assumptions/opinion. Nothing wrong with that. However.
    1. This has never been stated by the dev team. This might be the case early on, but going forward they have specifically stated that they want FFXIV jobs to be original.
    2. This is [i]exactly[i] why Sage was chosen and developed. The dev team, and the Japanese in general are very symmetrical.
    3. No, they're not.
    4. I would say this is more true than an assumption. Anyone can come to this conclusion based on observation. In this case it would help to know where we are going in order to make job predictions.

    If they are going to fill a gap, a Melee DPS is extremely likely, as we have 5 melees and 6 ranged (3 casters, 3 phys ranged). With an additional melee, it would be 6 and 6.

    But that does leave a second class slot open, and I would say a Healer would definitely be a possibility despite the recent addition of Sage, as they seem to have no goddamn idea what they seem to want to do with AST as they said in one of the live letters they were planning a rework for the class that got so big it was delayed to 7.0 so them adding a new healer to take it's place a permanent second Regen Healer.

    The lore book and game only state that they are similar in which they use the same elements. Or “used” the same elements. There is not a single healer Geomancer anywhere in the game’s lore.

    We really do need someone to fill in as the Earth/Water/Wind user. We’re at what, 4 years now of White Mage using Dia/Glare, nary a new stone/aero/water animation in sight. While the community says we can’t have something in game because conjurors use the animations in leveling roulette. On a lighter note, isn’t this how calamities start to begin with? We have all these black mages around tipping the balance elementally while no one is out here using stone/aero? Haha

    You might be right. It’s possible we get one new job & rework other existing jobs from scratch. They’ll feel like playing a new job.

    to be honest, I dont care what is added but whatever it is should be designed around harder playstyles requiring brainpower and punish you when you mess up

    Oh gosh no. Can you imagine. If we’re nearly gonna kill a boss and people start to mess up their rotation and is punished and we lose out on that good damage for the kill then we gotta start all over again. No thanks. Just don’t make jobs super simple. Bring back some complexity/decision making like before.
