I appreciate Square Enix supporting LGBT rights in FFXIV.

This is what these people don't get... The world is embracing LGBTQIA+ issues and we're moving on as a society.

Nonsense. I've hosted communities fighting for equality for "everyone" for years. We treated everyone fair and equal, no matter their religion, sexuality, race, etc..

Though what I see more and more today is LGBTQIA+ asking for special treatment in discrimination of everyone else. No wonder I know so many gay people feel offended if you put them in the LGBTQIA+ box.

True equality, respect, tolerance and acceptance does NOT mean you force people to see it your way. It means you treat the people around you exactly the same without even asking for their background seeing as in equality that doesn't matter at all.
Being LGBTQIA+ doesn't make you "special", it just makes you a person just like the rest of us. So for someone like me who's been fighting for equality for 30 years it feels offensive seeing people ask for LGBTQIA+ benefits... which clearly doesn't include straight people... using LGBTQIA+ in every request is an indication that many people in that group does not consider us equals.

Ofcourse I am aware that not all of them refer to themselves as "special LGBTQIA+ people" so I'm not trying to brush off everyone associated with the group.
All I'm asking is. People like me have been at your side from the very start, so please don't make it feel like you'll never consider me an equal just cuss I'm straight. A good start would be to not make request in favour of "only" LGBTQIA+.

True equality starts with the will of treating the people around you equal
Meaning, no more boxes that divide us!
