Length MSQ from all the expansions - it is getting insane

Well I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one with that opinion, also you compared other MMO's and FF with the worst comparison possible, saying that the way FF does it is fine because it's only one character, while in the time you level one character in FF through the entire MSQ, you can have a full panel of characters fully leveled up in other MMO's and up to date with the questlines, and probably even geared up to some extent.

Having the ability to play multiple roles on one character, instead of having jobs locked to characters, is a good thing. Am I missing something here?
There's no need to level up multiple characters, when you have everything you need on one character. What is the problem with that?

I never mentioned anything about the quality or length of the story. As you said it was just your opinion, that is subjective.

Makes no sense since you're not required to level alts for progression. This game is so babyishly easy in its progression that you can get by with the bare minimum in hardcore content (sides Ultimates and Criterion). Its the playerbase desperately trying to gatekeep and treat its harder content as if gearing bis in other roles is a required thing.

Other MMOs have advantages where there's actual endgame battle content that makes getting upgrades in many characters needed for progression. FFXIV isnt one of those MMOs.
