The Arcanist splitting into two jobs has been a constant source of trouble for the dev team, I doubt they want to do anymore like that.


If it's just a one to one upgrade, like the jobs are now then sure I guess if it will give a new set of skills and spells. if it were to go CNJ>WHT>Devout then thats fine, but splitting into two different paths like arcanist is now split between SMN and SCH causes them problems. Probably more so because one is a DPS and the other a healer, maybe if they split into two jobs of the same type it would be smoother.

I guess they could just add cool gear sets referencing the advanced job designs. Well, adding more stats to the Soul Crystal (they do already give a small amount of base stats, amounts might depend on the job or role) and adding new skills as an alternative to character progression instead of having to infinitely raise the level cap with each expansion would probably be the point.
