Having triple triad wouldn't boost XIV's popularity because FFVIII wasn't one of the more popular FF games. They already stated they're going to have a gold saucer type arena, which will no doubt turn out something like the Casino area in XIII-2.

Besides, TM was better in terms of playability, TT had too many factors (contagious rules) that ruined a good concept. In an MMO you can have groups of players purposefully making 1 rule present that benefits them in every encounter, this is why they went with TM for XI, it's just a shame they never went through with the in-game portion of it.

Really though? You say no triple triad because VIII wasn't that popular and then advocate Tetra Master because IX was the shining gem of the series?

I'm not really a card game person but yeah - anything to kill some downtime. Also, tons of people love these so I can't see why not.

Hell, I'de settle for being able to Parlay with other players just to kill time! Quests/Experience Levels would dictate the subjects you could Parlay about!
