Y'shtola did a thing with it, and let it perform its function back in that same patch with her roasting Magnai. It was all tied to the aetherial workings that let the Allagans launch Azys Lla and Dalamud, yeah?

So I don't think it actually goes into the Lifestream, but we still don't know its exact depth I guess.

I am curious about what it's called in other languages.

As far as it being House of the Crooked Coin, that's basically like saying, "House of the Lover's Amulet." With Nhaama being Azim's lover in Xaelan mythos. Which is the romantic custom Clereti mentioned.

Cleretic mentions "an old romantic custom in William III's time", so an English custom, which sounds unlikely to automatically carry over to a fantasy-Mongolian culture.

A fantasy Mongolian culture living in an area once inhabited by an older civilization that proliferated across most of the fantasy world, having conquered it. That same fantasy Mongolian culture having myths based around actual events concerning that same empire. With underwater area in the steppe having a Hyur statue face at the bottom.

Names for things often carry across time and cultures in the real world. A fantasy world made by people from our world isn't any different.

It's possible, but it's nowhere near conclusive enough to say that it "is" part of Xaela custom and that explains the name.
