That's kind of the point of an LB... Its the same concept as ults in overwatch. You use them at chokepoints to force the team to back off. The skill is knowing when and how to counter them. Yes, I understand in FL's its a bit more nuanced as you have to look for animations, but FL is not the general focus for balance designs and honestly that could be easily remedied by adding the LB bar under the health bars of enemies.
