I would definitely welcome being able to share my house with my alts. Hopefully that is coming soon.
It's cumbersome transferring gil and goods via the FC chest so I'd appreciate being able to mail my alts too. I don't think the anti-RMT argument holds water. It's not like we don't have RMT at the moment and there are ways of getting around the restrictions. Most workrounds probably inconvenience legitimate players the most because we're actually trying to play the game, not simply pushing ill-gotten gains around.

Yes please. It's fine to have only one house per account and server. But that alts on the same server can't use this house is really bad. :/
I hope that they change this point for about 2 years now. But they said nothing about this topic, did they?

I don't agree with the 1 house per account limitation.
1 private house and 1 FC house per server is fine, I will not accept anything less than that.
Alt characters should automatically be granted full access to the private house at least, I too remember Yoshida mentioning it in a PLL, it was years ago and we've gotten nothing yet.
What's the best way to bring this back to their attention cause I definitely agree and wonder how we can have this addressed...
They haven't forgotten. YoshiP said during last year's 14 hour broadcast that for now they want to focus on helping more players get a house before they work on QoL for players that already have one.
This just feels like an excuse because they aren't actually doing either thing.
It's been over half a decade and they haven't made any real changes to fix scarcity for housing. It's been obvious for a very very long time their system isn't sufficient.
Possibly. I don't know what they have in the works so I can't say.
Yet there have been times they delivered, just later than the player base expected.
As players, best we can do is work with what's currently available and see what happens in the future.

They should make housing account shared. So, all your alts on the same account can use it. You can already trade with alts by having them all in the same fc and using the fc storage chest.

Bumping this post back up because it needs to be seriously looked at.. it makes no sense that it still isn't allowed by now. This should be a no-brainer for them. Same goes for mailing between your alts.. having to use my guild bank to transfer things to my alt is so stupid -.-I am one of those that have multiple characters on my account. I am not permitted to purchase a home with each character which I 100% agree with.
However, what I do not agree with is that if housing is account-based, why is it that my alt characters can not be given rights by my main character to utilize the house as they like.
Also, why can I not mail items from my main character to my alts? This is the first MMORPG that I have played that has those kinds of limitations and I must say it is a real pain in the behind.
If housing is per account and we cannot purchase homes on alts. Then we should be able to grant our entire account access to the house and they should be able to use any of the items in the house. As it is now I can grant access to my home to anyone, and I can give access to use items to certain people.
And while I do not currently own a home, I do plan on getting one soon. *fingers crossed on that one I know*
Just for the future, I'd love to be able to share items between all my alts without having to go thru a friend and inconvenience them with the hassle of doing transfers for me. Just being able to mail items would be a huge help, but so too would the access to housing when I do get it.
