How is this even a thing? I can understand RPing as a concept, and I really don't have a problem with people that choose to engage in it for the most part. What I can't figure out is why a minority of them genuinely seem to believe it's fine to progress at the speed of smell through dungeons, oft times with walk enabled, and waste time emoting betwixed themselves. When first encountering this back in the day, I assumed it was people griefing. And y'know, I'm sure some of these instances have been. ..But not all of them, which is where my lack of understanding comes into play.

Ya'll wanna turn on your RP tags and emote or whatever, that's fine - do it between pulls, not mid-pull. And for the love of Zodiark, turn walk off. Good hell.

I can see this being extremely annoying for most. They are just doing their dailies or whatever and just want it done and over with after having probably done said content 100s of times...

However if it was me being subjected to it...I got snacks. I'll watch you play it out but I'm sure as hell going to make fun of it if their writing is bad/cringy.

If I had a nickel for every time I've seen people trying to ERP in a roulette, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

It stinks when it does happen, but it isn't that often. Even so, it took 5 extra minutes. More time spent complaining about it than actually dealing with it.

This is a really weird take, man. No one who isn't consenting and joining into it should be exposed to ERP, doesn't matter if it "took 5 extra minutes" (where are you getting this, anyways? Did Mollusk say that in another post?) or an extra 30 minutes.

My mistake. I missed the _E_ in ERP. Yeah, totally not ok. I've been in roulette dungeons with people that comment on the moss growing on the dungeon walls and make comments about the boss, etc. That does take extra time, and I just roll with it.

But ERP in dungeons - just no. I'd probably take the 30 minute penalty and move on.

I've seen it a grand total of one time I think. It made me uncomfortable.

Closest I've seen was somebody accidentally putting their degeneracy in raid chat instead of tells. Extra points for the person in question being the wife of my old static's raid lead. The person she was ERPing with wasn't her husband. >_> Suffice it to say the static didn't last long after that little faux pas.
