None of my DF parties since late 6.1 dropped ever let Endsinger last long enough till we hear the chorus part of the 2nd phase it was sad. It was one of the few songs I liked from EW.I get the feeling that they either know it's true and they just wanna be a contrarian, or they just haven't done Endsinger normal in the past 6-8 months. To be fair, I've only gotten it once in trial roulette in the past 6 months so wouldn't be surprised if it's the latter.

as this week alone we had 2 fc members who got endsinger in roulette and both had struggle buss with the randos and lack of outside healer raises to clear. One of them even vote abandoned. There in lies the problem with old content and ilvl sync. While some partys can destroy the boss. others get owned by it.

That will always be true even when said content is released. I got a party at the current alliance raid that actually saw the enrage timer of the second boss, something people did not know that existed, while others went through the fight so quickly it almost felt like a different raid. If anything that shows how inefficient the game is at teaching people how to play.as this week alone we had 2 fc members who got endsinger in roulette and both had struggle buss with the randos and lack of outside healer raises to clear. One of them even vote abandoned. There in lies the problem with old content and ilvl sync. While some partys can destroy the boss. others get owned by it.
Considering how much better stuff like Ultima Weapon got with the recent rework, it's a real shame that stuff like Thordan is still a complete joke.
I haven't done Shinryu in ages but it did die really fast even back in Shadowbringers, only the gotcha mechanics of tsunami and button smash sometimes catch people, almost everything else can be facetanked by now.
Hades doesn't even get to go through all his dialog or start the enrage cast either.
All of it just devalues the storybeats when they keel over like nothing. They don't need to be extremes, but at least let them be somewhat what they used to be.
Dude why are you picking such a dumb hill to die on, it’s literally just making the boss a couple minutes longer you’re acting like we want to murder every sprout in existence

Strange you say that because..it happens to actually be the case. I no longer care for high end content. Been there done that. Why does that come as a surprise to anyone? Im hardly alone in this either, a lot of people like me got sick of the whole thing. This reads like someone high on copium, who is trying to convince themselves by saying "those high end raiders aren't better than me, I'm definitely good enough to do what they do, I just don't want to."
I turn 61 this year.
After 40 ( actually longer if you count the jobs I did before and after high school ) years of split shifts, night duty, day duty, weekends, public holidays, long weekends, 10 - 12 hr shifts (and less than 4 hrs sleep in between ), some good and some frankly idiotic bosses who I swear didnt have the brains to tie their shoe laces even with the aid of a fullscale computer bank, after years of high end raiding with WOW, guild drama, loot drama, FC drama (yeah a few of those too ) , idiots in raids ( more than a few ragers - ugh ) - why does it come as a surprise to you all of a sudden that there are loads like me who decided that it wasnt worth the time and hassle to climb back onto that hamster wheel?
Im not the only one by a huge margin, part of it is I just dont give a toss for "high end" any more, part of it is burnout, and part of it is quite frankly, Im at an age that I am not interested in the slightest in scheduling my life around a video game?
You'd actually be SHOCKED at the number of people who used to do ex and ultimate etc..and literally are just over it?
So yea, mate, strange as it may seem, that exactly the case.
Matter of fact, had it EVER occurred to you that FF 14 appeals to me ( and to others ) BECAUSE the game isnt strapped to that idiotic and self defeating dependence on raiding content? WOW has a massive emphasis on raiding etc, to the exclusion of all else...FF 14 is just the opposite.
Take a wild guess as to why I dont play one of those two MMOs anymore.
I keep telling you this, and you really dont listen. The average gamer is now well into their 30's or higher, a lot of them, like myself, structure our gameplay and time into what WE like and what WE want to do. Actually a growing percentage are a LOT older than 30, take that as fact....with that age comes a different set of perspectives, of priorities, a vastly different mindset.
A lot more are women...a growing component of that demographic are also into their 60's. One article I read says that some of them are into games like COD..I cant help but giggle at the thought of some 20 something kid being quickscoped and nailed... by Grandma..
Demographics and people are changing, mate.
Best start getting used to it.

Mao turnings 62 in few months. Mao likes game being casual. Lets Mao take easy and focus more on RPs and other fun stuffs. (Mao can understand where Vel Kallor comings from. Before Mao retired 2 years ago, work was much hectics.)Strange you say that because..it happens to actually be the case. I no longer care for high end content. Been there done that. Remember when Stormblood first came out people bitched and moaned that Shinryu was too hard? That was actually one of the first times I enjoyed an MSQ duty. Basically, it's only going to get easier from here on out, the FF14 community doesn't want challenging, they want piss easy content they can turn their brain off to.
Most casual content in Stormblood (at their release at least), were a fairly decent level of challenging. It wasn't just braindead "Don't stand in fire, fire bad." and for the most part, bosses actually could do enough damage to kill a tank if they weren't ready for a tankbuster... Meanwhile ShB and EW Tankbusters do just enough damage to kill an unshielded DPS or Healer.Remember when Stormblood first came out people bitched and moaned that Shinryu was too hard?
