Just pop on that dreaded invuln icon or don't let HP drop below certain points until the story stuff is over.For MSQ bosses they could just handle it like the old 8man MSQ duties, if the conversations werent done yet the boss cannot be killed/damaged before it completed the sentences (will stay at 0.1%hp or whatever health it has at a mid phase). It surely can be anoying if you want to rush it, especialy when in unsync, but its at least reliable. That for unsync it can be anoying because rushing became less possible is just a side effect.

Do Thordan with a light party.
It's actually a fun fight then!
I'm not even joking. You can kill Thordan Normal with a light party fairly easily.


I honestly think people would cry if the ilvl cap was set to back to normal. People cried when they introduced titan unreal. I never seen sooo many people cry on how hard something was. i believe ilvl should be set in a range that applicable to the content.

The tears that were really delicious was when Sephirot Unreal was released after players coasted week to week with UWU. Scaling content up, and syncing ilv down is something that shouldn't be exclusive to unreal content.

Can confirm, even my wife n me had a hard time as it was basically us vs. Shinryu vs. 6 other players lol
Ive had friends that got stuck there for 2-3 weeks.... WEEKS. And you did notice the ex dungeons and raids went WAY smoother during that time as there were very few carried players... until we overgeared to drag every dead weight through that battle as well.. *sigh*
I still say, we do need some walls to keep ppl from rushing through everything... a "you must be THIS good/understanding to carry on". Im just sick of ppl not knowing a stack or meteor mark at lv 90.......

Thordan, Shinryu, Hades and now Endsinger is a result of them never adding a item level sync that's lower than the expansion maximum.
Adding a more strict iLv sync wouldn't be enough for Thordan and Shinryu due how how the battle system has changed over the years. Things like Direct Hit, tank stance no longer reducing damage dealt, meals giving a 10% boost instead of just 5%, actions generally having higher potency.
They would need to increase the boss HP by about 15% to compensate. Maybe more.
When they reworked Ultima Weapon for 4 players, they set the boss HP value with the current battle system in mind.

Yeah, and the minimum iLv is only 42. So you only get an 18 iLv advantage. Which at Lv50 is essentially nothing.
For comparison....
Thordan Min iLv 142 - Synched to 270
Shinryu Min iLv280 - Synched to 400
Hades Min iLv410 - Synched to 530
Endsinger Min iLv540 - Max iLv is 630 currently. It will be 660 with 6.4 and the rest of Endwalker
