You literally cannot compare Ultimates, POTD or anything PVE related to PVP Ranked. You are challenging a computer when doing these, not other players.

PVP is fundamentally a competition, you are competing against other players. This means to ascertain "winners" someone has to lose to clarify who is the better player, which obviously varies based on many circumstances.
There is no competition though. You can do a google search and find out that you can buy a spot in the top 100, top 30, or rank 1. That's why the better players simply leave PvP because it's not difficult to recognize the match fixing going on. We need a good, fair rewards system to get the veterans to return to PvP.

What about the top 10 players in the very early season who have seen the minions re-released? Or the Ranking Lone Wolf Accessories? I'm a Diamond Wolf, so I really enjoy being able to wear my Diamond Lone Wolf Collar, but why should I care if someone else wants to wear it? Another person wearing an item does not diminish my personal accomplishment.
Items are probably going to be available again and when if happens people in the top 100 may perhaps be very vocal about stopping it. Against that noise I hope I can give people an idea of the long history of cheating in the top 100. Years ago I used to look up to some of the top PvP players, so I was personally very disappointed to figure out they weren't legitimately the best PvP players. All the rank #1 players not playing fairly does not just reflect poorly on themselves, but on the community as a whole.
