It's funny until you realize there are people who would genuinely feel that way about the quest in question.
Then it just becomes sad.

fankly, the bigger part of the world just doesn't care

It was just meant to be a lighthearted nonsensical post.
I've deleted the OP and apologized for it. Unfortunately I can't delete the thread itself, so it will stick around until people forget about it.

This is the NA forums we don't do and some don't like or understand tongue and cheek. There also have been some people here who would have not been trying to be funny about that "problem".
"wait op deleted his post? man people are so sensiti--"
>reads what the post was via quote
you know goddamn well why that joke wasn't going to do anything but cause a sh*tshow and the fact that you're trying to spin this as some NA forum thing is gross as hell.

I'm not? The OP tried to make a joke about being afraid of accidentally typing a slur. While not having it come off as a joke. I mean have you seen the forums? Almost any time someone tries to be funny or try to be tongue and cheek people more often then not will take said person seriously. To the point that unless you smack some posters upside the head with a brick they don't understand that a reply or two might have been made in hopes people realize they're trying to be funny.

I'm not talking about the joke itself, I'm saying you and everyone else knows what "time and place" means and why it was a bad idea to make it here.
Any other attempts to argue or debate this fact are not in good faith. The end. Roll credits.
Ideally so; this is more of an enforcement paradigm problem.
While you'd expect that a moderator might take into account things like this, that is assuming that it's actually reviewed by a human moderator at all; oftentimes, language is something that's checked automatically with a robotic filter (I am fairly sure that even FFXIV does this, as I've known people who got suspended for foul language and this tends to happen unusually rapidly after the report compared to most offenses), and that robotic filter is extremely unlikely to either be able to tell apart intent nor to grant the slightest mercy particularly for that particular word in these times.
Worse, I'd also expect (based on actual experience during my time on Lamia in particular) that an actual racist (who would've used the word intentionally) is overwhelmingly likely to simply return with a new account and continue to spew. An innocent player in such circumstances is almost certainly just as overwhelmingly likely to quit the game altogether.
So ... it's ... something of at least a small amount of concern maybe? But likely not something I'd have thought about if someone else hadn't mentioned it.
That said, I can't imagine making that typo myself, certainly not on a PC keyboard. (I did almost once accidentally do it on my phone on the other hand, since I'm a hella lot less dexterous with the small touchscreen keyboard. That was a nervous moment, both between how my FC might've reacted and it being Discord, I wouldn't be surprised if it could've resulted in a sudden and permanent end of my account, too ...)
Aw, what was the joke OP made? D:
