The reason FFXIV is lacking content is because of casualization.

Ah yes, content challenging your skill and content challenging your ability to not get too bored are sooooo comparable. Double standards only works as accusation if the 2 things are the same. They are not, savage and ultimate take time and effort, relics take only time. Here's the plot twist tho: If it were up to me, I would give you ulti and savage glams for free. Then you have your pretty weapon and I have my engaging content.

But the thing is: I don't even want it for free. Getting something without effort has no meaning. Which is exactly the reason why I am upset about the new relic weapon.

However, I am not comparing the content, I am comparing the player groups who engage with the content. There are people who want to play savage raids, they get their savage (and ultimate) weapons. There are casuals who get their easy obtainable weapon, the ilvl 620 tomestone weapon, and then there are people who like to grind and they get...?

Of course I do understand that I am in the minority. But is it really too much to ask for some recycled old content with a new reward attached?

You already have your engaging content, savage and ultimate, with pretty weapons as a reward.

Why do you also need the reward from the content I enjoy? Even more so, why are you denying my ability to like grind content and feel joy and pride when I have finished it?

Bit of a weird thing to ask for but alright, roulettes are literally old content recycled (I guess apart from expert and 90s). That's how I got the tomes for my relics. If you just wanna grind for grind's sake nothing is stopping you from doing all of the relics. 63000 tomes for you to farm (including both current steps). Chop chop get to it.
