My character is gone, makes me start new game

Unfortunately yes, I've even tried switching data centers but nothing, its forcing me to create a new game. I can even login to my character on the companion app, edit the marketboard, etc. It's legit just the client that isn't loading up my character at all. On the companion app it says my character is on Primal but the client isn't even showing I have a character at all

Datacenter is one thing, server another. The client does not always default to the right server even if you are on the right datacenter.

If you were visiting another datacenter, your character would likely show up on the world in that datacenter you were last on.

So, just to double-check:
Which world and datacenter should your character be on?
Are you looking at that world at the character selection screen?
