What is this calendar thing you keep talking about and especially what does it have to do with the point I am making ?
Well on my PC, it's the little thing at the lower right corner that tells you what day it is. It has everything to do with what you are saying. The whole idea of housing cycles are based on it.
Okay and what does this have to do with the point I am making about faster rounds and you saying "duh look at de calendar for the dates !!" ?
Never said you arent, however the point is extremely debatable, it's not like the old system in which a plot can pop in between 4 hrs and 15+ hrs, you literally have to log in for 2 minutes to bid, AND you can check that one site to know what is available in advance, so it takes literally no time at allI'm saying, if a person can do all the things you suggested they should do on a 7 day cycle is exactly the same amount of time it would take to just look at the calendar or join the housing alerts discord to see when one cycle ends and another begins. You never did say anything on why it would be better to have 7 days instead of 9. Why do those extra 2 days bother you so much?I mean... Yes it does
As for the calendar part, that works for both and if anything goes agaisnt your own argument, if you work mon-sun you know when the lottery is going on and you can bid on one of the open days, it will take literally no time, that one website literally shows you how many bids are on a given plot, all you have to do is log in, get to the plot and bid and you are free to log off again.
A 7-day cycle wouldn’t stagger the days of the week though… I’d like to see a more like a 3/2, a 3/3 or a 4/2 split, depending on whether everyone thinks we need more days on the bidding or claiming side. Still staggers the days of the week so they aren’t the same, but cuts into the length of the cycle. And yes I freely admit for my part it’s impatience. But it feels like an eternity when you’re losing every lotto.
This is exactly why 9 days was chosen, to stagger the days of the week. Maybe we ought to make a new thread for this discussion as it's off topic from this necro'ed thread by Captain Uptight Pants.A 7-day cycle wouldn’t stagger the days of the week though… I’d like to see a more like a 3/2, a 3/3 or a 4/2 split, depending on whether everyone thinks we need more days on the bidding or claiming side. My point was, as long as it isn’t 7 days, the days will always stagger. So why does it have to be nine? lol
Well because it gives people a chance to pick and choose where they want to bid. Not everyone has the luxury of being able to log in every single day. 5 days leeway is plenty for everyone to put in a bid.
"the luxury" lmao, it takes 2 MINUTES to bid, stop with the excuses
Why shouldn't it be nine? Roughly 9 houses are demolished over 9 days, and over 5 days it would be 5 houses. It's the same amount of winners per day. Anyone else who can't access their computer every day get a fairer chance when the bidding/result periods are longer than a couple of days.
