XIV has never not been kid friendly. Most dark things in xiv I've seen darker on Cartoon Network in the early 2000s.

People need to chill lol. Most of EWs Msq isn't fun games. People also forget Pandaemonium exists but ya know, selective bias n all that

So war is kid friendly? Using a chemical weapon for genocide and militant purposes is kid friendly? Pandemonium is there yes, but the real issue is that the proportions are off, within EW recently for every 1 instance of supposed danger there are 15 more strolls in candyland.

War is, in fact, the name of a game which children do, indeed, play. This is also true in Final Fantasy, where, in 8, the orphange scene depicts excitement about the prospect of playing War amongst the children (all this despite being in the middle of the Sorceress War).

My reply was in response to someone else saying FF14 has always been kid friendly. The "War" and its related themes, was a reference to SB, and and the Chemical weapon intended and used for genocide/militant purposes being that weapon that shall not be named, used in a certain side quest.
