Letting people trade houses would make it too convenient and easy, housing has to be torture and you have to wait a 5 days bidding period, then go and claim your gil and enjoy the walk of shame, you will do it and you will like it, square enix doesnt like convenience, its more fun for them if you suffer through these 9 days cycle over and over again and lose every time.
