Square Enix designed lalafells to be “child-like” and their ages hard to determine. This item is fully congruent with the lore.





It’s not Square Enix’s fault that players have turned FFXIV into a platform for cybersex. It’s rated T, remember? Why would your character’s age matter at all? Hmm? Maybe players should actually play the game instead of using it for “quickies” at the Quicksand or their favorite venues?



And that’s why it’s funny!

Except it's not just ERP venues or folks in the quicksands who infantilize them. I've met multiple FC's, RP or otherwise, that have a "No Lalafell" policy. This is an issue of an in game item that the devs created only further fueling discrimination against a portion of the player base for an aesthetic decision. How would you feel for instance if the devs added an item called a "Miqo'te Litterbox" for indoor housing?

Funny or not, I know a huge chunk of the people who play Miqo'te would be absolutely pissed. I can't speak for you, but I get beyond annoyed when strangers call me a giraffe or a dhalmel. In comparison to what most Lalafell go through that's like walking on easy street.
