Can something be done about alliance raids?

This entire topic is indicating the opposite. There are people that want to run them.

I mean, the fact that this is a topic at all indicates that a large portion of the community don't find them fun and don't want to do them. If so many people found them fun, this wouldn't be up for discussion. Because it wouldn't be an issue. You'd be able to queue and not have to wait for an hour.

but they do, they did run them and got what they need from them. what reason to run them after that? no content be fun after 100's of times.

This is a cautionary take. Remember that the playerbase is hundreds of thousands of people, and it's only a minutely small % that actually use the forums (and by its nature, those few are the ones most likely to be complaining about something). Ask virtually any question, and you will have a "large number of people" taking any side you look at simply because of how large the playerbase itself is. These forums represent the smallest iota of a % of that community, and topics appearing here aren't necessarily representative of anything regarding the playerbase in general.

I noticed some very long waits for some shadowbringers content myself, even content that's in roulettes like Matoya's Relict. I think we're just in a nasty lull atm. There's really nothing on the horizon to work towards and people have caught up in content. It doesn't seem too many people are doing much other than going to 'venues,' and working on the odd-ends (relic, savage, etc.)

That's concerning to read though, since the Nier stuff isn't that old and should still be pretty popular. I've said before and I'll say it again, 3 months is -far- too long for a content drought. They really need to finish up on 16 and get back into gear with 14. We need more content / horizontal content or more inter-patch patches (6.35a, b, c, etc).

Except the person you're replying to are "not" using the forum as the base of the argument. What's going on in the game provide pretty much a lopsided evidence in favor of CT. The playerbase "hate" the other raids, otherwise they would have been unlocked and queue more often.

It's not that players hate the other raids. It's certain people skewing the roulette to get the easiest raids due to how overtuned the ilvl is on them. When was the last time you actually saw ppl do mechanics in Labrynth of the Ancients?

I dont think they are "Hated" but I can definitely say...some of them just take to freaking long.
Some of us just wanna get in and get out as soon as possible so we can do other things. Some of us are literally limited on gaming time.

So when we ask for actual fun content, you all freak the hell out because it'll be a nuisance to actually play and be engaged by something for once.

Also can't ask for better rewards, because that'll tempt the demons in you to play 24/7 or something.

idk, I certainly "play". Just because I don't play the content you want doesn't mean I'm not "playing". I don't think it's up you to decide getting EXP is not qualified as playing.

So when we ask for actual fun content, you all freak the hell out because it'll be a nuisance to actually play and be engaged by something for once.

Fun is subjective, I have more fun by spending 15min in CT follow by another 15-20 min in Frontline. For me that's more fun than spending 30-40 min in a Ivalice or Nier raid. Again, not up to you to decide what is fun for me

I mean...you kinda HAVE to play the game in order to get that exp and level up.
How fast and rewarding the content is, is a different argument...kind of like saying how someone like me is on a Limited Gaming Schedule, because I have other things going on in my life (Job, sleep, Social life, Family, etc)

And this is a good example thats a better use of my time. Id love to do the other raids, but they take a while. Meanwhile I can squeeze in more gametime doing Crystal Tower and Frontlines.
