I wouldn't burn you, but if things do go the opposite of pearshaped..,(since many here are perfect fine with pearshape)
I fear your heart would do the rest of the work..,

but I also have hope that at minimum they'll do well on their form at the very least..,
idk about emotes and how the female roths will represent themselves.
or how balanced their fur placement will be + Color/Design/Zones.

But if I hope for many things that overlap far larger than a character race..,

This for sure has no reason to fail.., unless they really want the "Death" Stare from a Hunting Ground Predators(Players disappointment) at their efforts(which are appreciated fairly when required)

reading this made me think about their initial set of emotes. Like, going to sleep and waking up as well, the lookout emote and so on...

I hope they make them all with a touch of "feral behaviour" but keeping the humanized "female" aspect. And please, not curved postures like Hroth males!!
Instead, an emote or two could have these curved behaviour like when they stretch or something.

I'm very excited to see news about them (as I was about Vieras back in the days... :3 ). And that is part 'cause of this thread here! There are such amazing arts to keep us dreaming about fem Hroths!! Thanks for all of them, guys

Ngl, even before the bunboys announcement, I thought a lot about how likely it is that we will get a result that will not disappoint us; as a result, SE jumped, it seems, even its own bar, bringing us many and more updates that not everyone could even dream of.
I choose to believe in the good, because it is more pleasant than believing in the bad. And because I believe in the design team. And because I believe that this thread does not exist in vain, too.

I mean, male Viera are conventionally pretty bishonen boys, and really nobody expected them to be anything else since that aesthetic is quite popular, specially in the east.

Beast races, on the other hand, and specially females, are a niche within a niche, and one that has been largely bastardized and/or overshadowed to no end with "monster males, totally-not-a-human females" tropes for probably decades now, so I'm still lowkey terrified we'd end up with something like...this...




And while yes, she is beautiful, thats...not remotely "beastly" - if anything, that's just Merlwyb cosplaying a Miqo'te

This is unfortunately a strong reality and people should be prepared for it. A good portion of the fanbase, one that's actually invested and interested, does not want this sort of female look, but Square Enix might see it otherwise.

If it happens, people will have to be ready for it.

though I can full-on guarantee that if that happens, odds are the chances of anyone picking them up will be beyond slim not because the look sucks, that look is actually fine ngl. But because so many people imprinted onto Karmaho's art, they all want to do something very much like them. Deny that, and there's little point >:}

People say they don't want Furry Roegadin, but then turn around and show Panthera from Bless and that one Genderbend Kihmari... Sending a lot of mixed messages here guys!

Regardless. We should get 4 faces if 1 is more like the Panthera, I would be fine with it, as long as we get a more animalistic face (like the males have). I would hate it and definitely hate seeing people with that choice of face since it's just ugh~ when compared to the males. Like literally blue Roegadin. But My hope is still that the devs look at the people who want to play them or at the Hrothgar in general for feedback (I think just as the players who want to play as them, males want a counterpart that would fit and not be "Cats the movie 2, Eorzean Boogaloo!"), as well as the community fan art, a majority of which have some form of snout/more feline head, not Miquo'te 4.0 or Roegadin 2.0

The body can be whatever as long as they are tall, but the face needs to be right. Also, the emotes! The emotes need to be good. The males have some of the best emotes in the game and I hope the females will too.
Also, could we have a long tail? Like reaching the ankle long? Please!

In all honesty, I loved karmaho's designs of them since day 1, they are not only the most high-quality ones, but also show a diverse range in their presentation! There is at least one of them that would appeal to you!

Do you want a more feral Hrothgar? - The reaper and gunbreaker are for you!
Do you want a more elegant Design? - The scholar and red mage would surely please you!
Do you want a straight-up ripped momma to turn your bones into ashes with her hugs? - My friend, look no further than the monk!
Do you want them to be cute and house cat-like? - The machinist is right there!
Or would you prefer something more canine/fox-like? -The black mage should be right up your alley!

I feel that if they were to look at any fan art depiction of female Hrothgar, that should 100% have Karmaho's designs in.

Agreed. I switched from Miqo'te to Roegadyn while I await female Hrothgar because, though I don't want female Hrothgar to look like fuzzy Roegadyn, I have even less interest in being dainty.

Many people do not like the Bozjan mural since it is very caricature-ish, the faces have little to no detail compared to the female Roegadin in the same mural. So it could be the first brainstorm they had when wanting to make them (probably stopped there since they would have been done by now and released before male Viera). But in the Mural Misija's ancestor (a 50% height female Roe) was shown to be slightly taller than female Hrothgar (probably also at 50% height). Also, a constant was the more curvy/pear body shape that could be an indication of what we might get, nothing is set in stone yet.

But it might be safe to say they will be almost as tall as Female Roe, probably the same height as male Hrothgar. But in rest, besides the 2 designs that they are deciding between (January 2022 LL), we know nothing concrete.
Maybe someone will F-up somewhere and we might get a sneak peek, or they would release in 6.4/6.5 a female Hrothgar important NPC (like Yugiri was) with their head concealed. If not, the fan fest is our best bet.

Yeah, Roes will always have that spot in my heart.., [it's why I have my main, and three alts.., Maybe a 4th-alt- As a Rothgal.., depending how she turnsout.]

But I would not play a Female Rothgar if she is stuck with the facial structure leaning more Bless/Mithra..,(Funny how the conversation goes, it's basically what we don't want always peering it's head..,)

In order to avoid getting to built up on potentials..,
