The Spectral Tiger mount would like a word with you with prices for the loot card between $5250.00 and $5500.00, and a price well over AH gold cap if you find someone who has reins they want to sell in game. Most of the loot card mounts are ridiculously expensive irl because the card game is no longer being produced. It's why people were getting bootyblistered during Dragonflight release that their cool tcg dragon mount was being given away in twitch drops.

Most of WoW's pricing in their own cash shop is still more expensive than XIV's cash shop. Their job jump boost is $60, ours is half that (you can get both job + story skip for $10 under the price of 1 job boost in WoW) so I mean... comparing that to ours is kinda... well. Silly. The only thing it has over us (besides some higher prices) are all mounts, including the cheapest at $15, are account-wide. And before it is said, yes, I'm aware we have two more expensive mounts, but their glam options are all $20 across the board, their minions are $10, and race changes are $25. At least they don't sell fireworks on the Mogstation for $10!

Same people who complain that our sub money funds other games at SE because Econ101 is too hard of a concept to grasp. Companies... have multiple departments and one large budget they work with for everything they do?

It's an optics issue. Most people wouldn't care that XIV money funds other games, if it were evident that any of XIV's money went back into XIV. Instead as the game's gained more subscribers and made more money, we've seen SE take more time to put out less content, which makes fans of this game feel shafted. We know how a company works; we're not stupid. We just want signs that our money is being put back into the game at a rate that is consistent with the game's massive success. One way to do this, would be to ... *checks notes* release content on time instead of multiple weeks late yet keeping a consistent cash shop update schedule despite the lack of tangible shit to do in game.

Sick of these strawman takes tbh. Obviously people know SQEX is funding other games with their profits. This isn't rocket science. Now please fund XIV in a way that it deserves. It's literally that simple.

The only release that was delayed by any major stretch was 5.3, and the frustration over 2 weeks for EW. Everything else has been on time with their patch schedule, and I'm glad they pushed it back to a point so devs aren't overworked - game dev is already notorious for overworking their devs to the point of illness, and I'd rather take an extra couple of weeks than a longer dev time because people are getting ill to delay it further. The cash shop people, while under CBU3, are their own thing with their own release schedules. OP's dates line up with all of the seasonal events having the prior year added (which they have done every year since adding the cash shop) + some in-between releases, such as Gaia's Attire and the balloon mount. Yes, they've gotten more and more consistent, but it's grown in popularity alongside the game. Not adding things would be the worse move for them.

As for the bigger part of your argument you say I'm strawmanning:

The fact that the game is still running is your proof that money goes back into the game. This isn't a strawman, this is actual economics.

    - SE sees how much they have to put into projects from their amount of sales
    - SE allocates budgets for each CBU
    - CBU3 gets extra from the MogStation, they've stated it and it's not part of SE's overall "everyone gets this money from the sales each of our products have done" quarterly/yearly/whatever budget, so all the Fantasia addicts fund the extra money they get to use to put into new server clusters/new engine/new whatever they need
    - SE has already put more into XIV, evident by the fact that the game looks much more fluid than it did back in 2.0, for example, and they're putting more into it to update the graphics; this is just a part of what I've seen that says "yes, we're putting into the budget", along with funding new content that people say they want before going "BUT NOT LIKE THAT, IT'S WRONG" (which is like, everything they do) - and before anyone takes me out of context, yes people are allowed to not like something, but when you ask for something specific, you get the specific thing but it's not exactly how you imagined it, that's not the devs fault for how you hyped it up in your mind for it to be. That's on you. Island Sanctuary is the thing I think of here with everyone going WE FINALLY GET AN INSTANCED HOUSE, Yoshida going "yo don't overhype it because it's not that" and it going ignored... for people to go BUT WHERE'S MY INSTANCED HOUSE I WAS PROMISED.

With the amount of times people whine and complain and HOW DARE MY SUB MONEY GO TO FUND FF7R or whatever they complain about sub money going to now, and that being their ONLY complaint about where sub money is going to, it truly makes me wonder if people do know how basic economics actually work, because the same repeated bs arguments of "but my money should be going into the game I play not a game I don't play!!!" is ridiculous and constant. All of the money every IP makes goes into the same pot of money they pull from to put back into IP development. XIV money goes to XIV, KH4, FF7R, DQ, SO, whatever they're working on. If anything, the "weh weh my sub money goes to other games I'll ignore the fact that it isn't just my money that does" is the strawman argument.

And that's fine! I do wish SE could figure out how to not have a limited amount of account-wide slots so some of the smaller, baby mounts (seasonal mounts, mounts like the Livia/Nero magitek mounts, etc.) or even the artbook/soundtrack rewards can (again) be account-wide. Real frustrating when you buy a physical item and get a cool code you can only use on one character when they used to be account-wides. I'm not fussed about some of the clothes (I know some would like them to be account-wide; some may be overkill for that but the NPC garb? Eh why not, especially when they come with hairstyles) but mounts? Yeah. One of the things that truly frustrates me about their merch/cash shop setup. My grievances are few but this is one of them lol. I suppose they wouldn't make as much if they were, but still frustrating.

I never had to wait this long but max few days. Unless there’s something complex with your request.

Prices are prices and loot cards are loot cards.

The mog station makes people think ff14 is a free to play game at the size of it and it's frequency of adding items.

The wow cash shop is tiny and always has been.

And again, most of the most desired mounts are in game only.

Just weird to complain about strawman takes when you make strawmen out of people yourself. Both of them are talking about not holding CBU3 responsible for what gets tossed into the Store, which is undeniably lazy work more often than not lately. None of them say anything about "funding other departments".
