Pickings Are Slim, But This Really Isn't Okay, Is It?

Apparently the owner is not from the FC doing the blockade; at least that’s something. Saw a Reddit post last night with a screenshot of their tweet, and photos of the plot. They said something to the effect that they’ve reported them, but did their best to try and decorate anyway. Really hope something is done now that it’s not an empty plot anymore, but I can’t imagine it would be pleasant to live above that FC regardless.

That is good to hear that this turned out well this time.

But with the people not being banned you know it will start to happen more often. In the hopes of getting plots easier.

I'll have to go hunt that reddit post down. The best part is, if they did submit a report, they should have long since received a response, and if the response did not include game staff, whoever it may be, GM, admin, etc- removing that crap from their plot, I think that what Jojoya recommended be done:

Send the tweets to the FFXIV social media accounts in the different languages.

I will certainly be happy to do so.

As for who to action within the FC, the GMs should be able to see which members (in addition to the FC Master) have a rank with furniture placement privileges. Since all of those players have the ability to move those items, even if they weren't the ones to place them where they are, they would all be equally liable for not moving them back within the plot boundaries, or at least to the point where they no longer clip into the other plot. If they are in fact using 3rd party tools and end up floating the items to continue to block the view, then that would clearly be worthy of a ban.

Sending a tweet with #FFXiVHousing is how to submit a house for it in the first place. It obviously wouldn't be picked for display for the broadcast but it would at least get word out to the Community teams to relay to the developers.

The broadcast also isn't a competition. It's purely for publicity and marketing.

Well, the house in question is certainly receiving a lot of publicity - sadly for all the wrong reasons!

It’s probably the same person and that lvl 2 was a placeholder (can’t even bid on a lvl 2). They must have temporarily left on their main for bidding purposes.

You can too bid with a level 2 character. You could also bid on a HW or SB house with a level 2 character if they bought a jump potion.

Just wanted to note that the owner of the medium plot has done a really nice job in trying to cover up the atrocity that their new neighbors in the plot below put in their yard.




The items blocking the community pathway are still in place, after numerous complaints from the community and the new owner of the medium plot. All ignored. This sets a precedent that this kind of behavior is acceptable and now others will no doubt, employ this technique to distress and harass others.
