Also, out in the real world, it is entirely possible to make a replica of an Olympic gold medal if you really want one. Or you can get a trophy and write anything you like on it. There's nothing magically blocking people from copying an object or outfit.
I would equate this to using 'technology' to achieve the same effect in game. Neither is something that should be perused by any reasonable person. It's more like the rash of posers a few years back pretending to be retired service members.

You contradict yourself here. If you can't clear Ultimate you can't have the weapon or the title, but Ultimate is always available and gets easier as time goes on due to other balance elements of the games design. Top one hundred and top thirty are always a battle of wits between people who exceed the skill set of the average player. If you spend any time in this part of the forum or other parts you will constantly see people asking for things to be made available again because they missed out or weren't playing yet. These however are not rewards from a crossover event or the like. They are literal trophies from a previous series. As for getting more people to be involved by letting them have armor that was modeled for people at a higher skill level than them how will that do anything but cause a bump that then descends into more of the same once those people have what they want since they aren't really pvpers to begin with. What needs to happen is more rewards in general and less of the 1-2 actual new things and every kind of materia to fill out the lacking selection in the shops like so much sand in taco bells meat. Asking for reissuance of previous items is one thing but asking for items you couldn't get before is just ignorant. You can't seriously compare the garo event with rank rewards. That's like comparing dungeon drops and Savage drops. They're worlds apart.
