Instant portrait keeps resetting

Any idea what the heck is going on? I've saved it four times now and every time I go into an instance, it says reverted to default. I can't figure this one out.

No I'm not changing gear sets or glams, it's just not worked since I fantasia last. I updated all of them but none of my instant portraits are custom, just the default I made ages ago.

Hey, so I've had recent issues as well that none of the current posts address.
Recently, my main job's portrait just straight up broke despite no changes anywhere, and started giving the 'reset to default' inside instances. No matter how many times I went in to edit and save (it never showed needing an update), it never worked. I haven't fantasia'd, I haven't done a thing. Nothing's changed in my appearance since the chicken suit came out, and nothing's changed gearwise or materiawise for two months.

I tie the exact same glamour plate and portrait settings to my AST as well (in fact I originally imported them from my WHM's portrait), and that one was working fine. All of my other portraits were working fine. There have been no gear, materia, or glamour changes in months. I cannot stress enough, according to the game everything is 100% fine.

No matter what I did - importing, changing the portrait pose/expression, whatever, nothing functioned. On a whim I took out materia and put a different one in, saved, updated, all that jazz, moved gear, updated gearset - nothing still. Throughout all of this, the portrait menu showed a fully functioning, not-needing-to-be-updated portrait.

Last ditch, I made a new gearset and imported the "Working but actually doesn't work" portrait, complete with the same glamour plate tie I've been using for years.

Voila, the new one works. Carbon copy. The old one still does not. It's as if something is literally corrupted in that gearset. Consider giving this a try.
