I'm a militant homosexual and even I'm not that passionate about how masculine the men in the game look. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE highlander men the most in terms of physical appeal, but I think the game offers a pretty varied selection. I also quite like bishounen looking men who, despite looking quite pretty, are still very masculine in terms of personality and their voice. Estinien fits this very nicely, I really love him, although they need to give him his lips back.

Its all subjective about attraction, handsome, masculinity etc and we all come at it and different angles, personally I find I can find people objectionably handsome as I perceive it but as a homo demi guy I vibe with personality and connection. So G'raha, yes yes, has been for me an excitable happy cat and he feeds my companionship through interaction in story and connection and he is attractive as a twunk. Oh he is virtual of course, not real but then the voice actor Jonathan Bailey is rather lovely himself.

Attraction and how handsome a person is, yes. I agree completely. Masculinity however, is not subjective. It is the opposite of femininity. It's an energy that encompasses traits, demeanor, qualities, and attributes characteristic of a male. If someone appears or looks masculine that has more to do with the vibe they give off, and/or taking the word out of context. A man or a woman who is masculine, is someone who embraces that energy. I can admit that G'raha is handsome, but his boyish qualities which I don't find appealing puts me off. I was more drawn to him as the Exarch, before we even see what he looks like. At that point there were aspects to him that were shrouded in mystery. He cloaked himself, appeared battle worn, his crystalized arm, and how he carried himself all gave off massive amounts of masculine energy. All that kind of went away when we recruit him as the newest Scion. However, he still has moments where that inner Exarch comes out, and I really enjoy it when it does.

I'd reckon that's a lot more subjective than you seem to think it is.

Yeah, no. And any cases of such is taking the word and its meaning out of context. You're more than welcome to try though. I am all ears. You can start by looking up the definition of the word, 'Masculine'. You can also look up objective vs subjective.

    Two questions

    1. Could you tell us what those traits/demeanor/qualities/attributes are?

    2. Are the above a biological truth for males? Or more of a "that's just the way men traditionally were" thing?

That just how language be my dood. Not everyone always uses words exactly as dictionary defined.
Might I remind you most dictionaries now sub-define literally as "not literally" because so many people were using it "incorrectly".

I think personally it can be to individuals, what I can personally define as masculinity outside of a dictionary definition in itself is interpreted differently by my gay brother, so a sample of two lol. So can a female not have masculine traits, qualities etc? I suppose I find it more complex. Dunno, but its quite interesting and you raise good points. So G'raha became that boyish bounce doesn't personally make him less masculine and that is why it appears subjective to me I suppose.

Dunno about yourselves but to me a man is usually more masculine than a boy. And as for G'raha Tia if he ever shows up on my screen again it'll be too soon. He is by far the ugliest male in the entire game.

But if a boy not is masculine, what is it?
